Rut Blog




11/01/2020 Entered the forest briefly alongside his daughter, paying small homage to a life he once lived a long time ago. Remained for a short time, to sort out his thoughts on the matter while Navi wandered, returning home after she had tired herself out.

11/11/2019: Largely partaking in a mundane life on the outskirts of Thunder Bluff. Has since left the little encampment overlooking the valley and instead moved to the mountains ringing the other side. Spending his time with Navi(mostly because she refuses to leave him) as well as his sons when they choose to visit while focusing on his self care.

Today found by Cenetig wherein a rather large bombshell was dropped about the lad and the life he was leading. Rather displeased with the revelation but explained his own experiences while chastising him in the hopes of sending him on the right path. Stern in the reality of what he(sen) believed the worst case scenario would be only to find out at the end of it that no, the worst case scenario was worse than the Shifter thought.

Left with the knowledge that he was soon to be a Grandfather as well as the soul crushing reality that given his current condition - he'd likely never meet his grandkids.

a long long arse time aaagoooooo - took his kids to Azeroth to help them learn to fly - as well as giving them something outside of the forest to experience and find their own path in life.
Outside of the basic lessons and practices - didn't do much - treating it much like when birds learn to fly with exception of letting them harm themselves ofc
Gave them money and encouraged them all to go into the city for any goods theyd like to buy (cenne bought chocolate, he singled teared because yep thats my boy but truly please dont do that again)
Mindful of Navi's persistent worry over him all throughout as well.



More recently... noted the speed at which the corruption has spread upon him. Made the mistake of returning to his home world, allowing time to catch up with him as well as inadvertently reconnecting the crystal corruption to its host. Struggled as it took over his limb and climbed to his torso but able to leave the world before it did more damage. Distinctly aware of the pressure to his own lungs once the adrenaline wore off, suspects his original plan of 'years' is merely months at this point. Though death was once something he craved, frightened by his own mortality and the lives he'd leave behind as well as the experiences hes never had.
Took a few days to himself before quietly returning to his camp outside of Thunder Bluff.

Has been away a few days now after the rut ended, returned the other day for something specific and found the signs of exactly what he needed for the moment. Returned to the other world to grab a few things before coming back to the forest to find his daughter. Left the bag of her old belongings by the tree as she slept before going to his own haunt.






Doing old man things and realizing the change of the coming season.

Sideeyeing his kids like... >_>;;;;

but also single tearing with pride because his sons are great
