Recently: Mairine had accepted Kato's invite to stay at his homeland after her sight deteriorated so much the doe is not able to identify predators/dangers fast enough to avoid them/protect Mura anymore. Took her son with her and is living in Amnula for the time being.
(I maaaay not get this character back in forest anymore. I think her story arch is mostly done and I don't see much more development for her in the future, but I had such nice time with her in the forest, who knows?)
