Arima took part in The Jiajing Wokou raids (Basically he was a pirate in East Asia), how he ended up at the forest is a mystery to him. He has no way of returning to his former home and won't attempt to. He's very calm, and gentle but has a violent, painful past of which he dislikes talking about. If anything he'd prefer to stay here, than return. He's extremely laid back so his reactions to new, and strange faces will reflect that but he has the capacity to lash out if agitated or reminded of former events. He seeks out serenity, and new faces, he's very quite and kind company. He doesn't play, or romp often, but if he does it'll be short lived. He avoids violence, but will not run or hide from it. Once he's lost in a fight, it's hard for him to get back into a sound mind. He has a hard time forgiving himself for hurting those of value to him, and can come off as self loathing. He hates pity, but revels in it.

A large, bulky creature, built solid as a rock. Anatomy is some-what based on both canine, and cervine, his front half being more canine and his hind end being more cervine. His front 'paws' are dexterous, and can act similar to hands. His coat is heavy, and textured for colder weather, and appears ashy with a mainly black base and white/grey accents.
His face is weathered, and scarred but gives off a gentle, tired expression. His eyes are thin, and an icy blue. He wears his long, black and white hair tied in a bun but every now and then he'll let it down.

Although he's never been to the forest, or met it's inhabitant he looks eerily like another character who's come and gone(Obsidian played by Foxofthestars). It's fine for your character to recognize this or at least be aware of it! It's totally fine if they carry over grudges or whatever on him as well, though he'll be confused! If someone explains this he'll understand it tho he won't know until then.
