"I found him at the edge of the forest...all alone."
They bonded for a while, until...
"You think about her, don't you?" "How can I not? That's why I left to begin with... I tried to bring her back...but...but I failed..."
"Maybe I can help." "How?" "Want her back as much as you do. Tried before, failed before...but what if we work together?"
With that, the brothers ran off to perform the most powerful magic
they had ever heard of: rebirth.
After many sleepless nights, getting thin from hunger,
going without food for days on end, they felt they were finally ready.
Ready to bring back their sister.
For themselves...and for their mother.
"Are you ready?" "I'm ready, brother."
As the brothers stood before one another,
Jyoti's stripes exploded into burning coals as he soaked up Kitai's power.
Kitai had begun to glow softly, emitting light like an inner star.
But as it turns out, Jyoti had a power that even he
did not expect, unlocked thanks to his brother.
They succeeded. Their beloved sister, Sonali, was reborn.
But at the cost of all of his energy, Jyoti collapsed besides his asleep sister.
Kitai curled up on the other side of Sonali, a happy smile on his face.
They had done it.
After a few days, Sonali awakened from her regenerative slumber.
Filled with deep love for her brothers for bringing her back, she did not move from their sides.
Kitai told her what they had done, and she was colored impressed.
Without even being told, she knew something had changed within the forest.
While her soul lingered in her Dreamworld, she saw the stars turn and shift, new lives that she did not know, but knew they were connected to her somehow.
A few days after that, Jyoti finally regained consciousness himself.
Thanking them profusely, Sonali covered herself in their scents,
never to forget them even if her soul were to leave them once more.
The siblings decided that when they were all strong enough,
they would return to the forest, together.
"Today is that day.
Today, we come home."
