After finding the rose left by nix and finding out through a bit of digging that he was gone the doe has spiraled into a deep depression. She feels lost which already had been bothering her before this. She doesn't know what to believe anymore. So far her friend Riddick has helped lift her mood by building her a blanket fort and brought her decorations for her den.

The late hours of the night had long since passed, yet even when morning came the forest ceased to change; it was still dark, foggy and gray. When Sage finally stirred he took a moment to absorb his surroundings, opening his eyes slightly as he did so. Right, he thought to himself, quickly remembering the events of the previous night. With a sudden realization, he gently tilted his head to the side in order to glance at the figure who was laying beside him. Eloa, fast asleep. He couldn't help but smile at seeing her there; he would have figured she'd leave while we was out cold. Yet she stayed.
He was content about the fact that she was lightly pressed against him, as it was relatively chilly in the forest (as expected) and he wasn't one to let others grow cold. He didn't say anything at first, as to not wake her. She seemed peaceful, after all.

ahhh ya --- Eloa slept

ahhh ya

---

Eloa slept peacefully by the other. Usually she was curled in her warm den with Rissy, Helmut and Dragomir beside her. It was rare she ever had slept with another adult. It was nice though, she fell asleep quickly despite being in the open air, her warm pelt was to thank for that. When he woke she seemed to sense the energy of his movement and shifted slightly and let out a sigh before settling again. It wasn't for another ten minutes or so before her eyes fluttered open. The foggy morning was peaceful, the dense fog seeming to mute the sounds of the forest. Slowly she lifted her head and blinked sleepily at the other. "How are you feeling" she asked with a dainty yawn. "Is your stomach better" she asked with a sleepy smile.

Sage's ears twitched at

Sage's ears twitched at hearing the doe finally speak. Gently moving his head to the side, he looked at her with a drowsy blink. "I feel great. I have you to thank for that," he replied whole-heartedly. He had slept soundly for the first time in a few days. "How'd you sleep?" he asked as he lifted his head and shook himself awake. The thick fur on his neck shivered as he did this. "I was surprised to see you were still here. Not that I'm complaining." He gave her a grin as he said this, amber eyes brighter than they had been the night before.

TreeDancer's picture

She closed her eyes and

She closed her eyes and hummed, pleased by his answer. "I'm glad to hear that. Very glad" she nodded and stretched her shoulders and neck while keeping her legs tucked against her body. "I slept very well actually. I didn't think I would being outside my den though I had nice company" she chuckled softly. Her voice remained soft and close to a whisper, as if she was not wishing to wake the grasses and trees around them. His last comment caused her to chuckle lightly. "Well you were in pain, I didn't want to leave you in case you needed more help" she added "and well I've enjoyed our first meeting and you went to the trouble of showing me this lovely grove I didn't want to leave too soon". Eloa noted his eyes seemed clearer and brighter than before. His life and vibrancy coming back to him. It thrilled her to know that even without magic she could help those around her.

The white stag smiled. "Well

The white stag smiled. "Well I'm glad you're here, Eloa." With a sweep of his head, Sage lifted his nose a bit higher into the air. The morning was crisp and refreshing, and he took a long and deep breath. "I love mornings like these," he murmured to her, knowing she would hear him. The forest was strangely silent, however; whatever birds had remained in the woods were quiet and only the sounds of leaves rustling overhead in the pines were making themselves known to the inhabitants of the forest. "So what do you normally do with your spare time?" he asked, looking at her.

{ gonna turn in for the night; it's pretty late x_x i'll reply tomorrow morning! ♥ }

No problem :3 sleep well!

She lifted her head and did the same as he, her white gold eyes close as the cool fresh air filled her lungs. The doe hummed and nodded in agreement to his statement before lowering her head and opening her eyes to look at him. "I take walks by myself in the forest each morning. During that time I gather ingredients for my medicine, before I would go out of the forest through portals to get things for my magic" she said rolling her shoulders. "Other than that I spend time alone, many whom I know are busy with other things" she said with a sweet smile "I don't mind really, I seek them out when I get too lonely" she admitted. It wasn't till someone asked that she realized until recently her life had been rather common. Occasionally friends would visit her and more than usual she'd seek them out. It was quite lonely if one thought about it. She was glad she had her children and Helmut to keep her company in the den. She blinked quickly and settled , smiling brightly at the other to shake away the 'winter blues'.

(she will deny left and right that she gets sad sometimes lol, she never wants others to feel sad if she can help it XD )

The snowy stag nodded as he

The snowy stag nodded as he listened to her words. "I think it's like that with everyone. I tend to seek out others when the time is appropriate, but it's always nice when someone else finds you for a change." He smiled at her, amber eyes flashing contently. Sage slowly began to lift himself to his hooves and he arched his back slightly. He stretched out his limbs, letting out a small grunt of satisfaction as he heard a pop in his shoulders. "So," he'd say, "want to take a walk with me?" He looked at her, giving her a small chuckle."You take morning walks anyways, right?" He lifted a brow suggestively, smiling.

TreeDancer's picture

She gave a soft laugh and

She gave a soft laugh and smiled. He remembered, that was rather sweet of him. "Yes I do take morning walks. It will be nice to have someone along with me" she said getting up and stretched her legs out to get blood to flow back into them. Her small tail flipped happily and her ears were perked and faced to him. She gave a soft contented hum then moved forward at a slow leasurly pace.

---
I'll have her in game soonish ^^

Sage dipped his head

Sage dipped his head respectfully, as if saying ladies first. Seeing her begin to stroll forward, he followed in suit. He slowed his pace in order to keep up with her, as his strides were naturally wider. "Seems the weather's cleared up, eh?" he remarked, his nostrils flaring a bit at seeing the forest was returning to sunlit meadows and fields.

TreeDancer's picture

"Mmm" she nodded and glanced

"Mmm" she nodded and glanced around. The fog did seem to be clearing and the sun shone through in strong bursts giving the place a dreamy feel to it. "I love it here" her voice was soft and she finished with a sigh. "Even though I've traveled to many amazing places, this place...it has a special spot in my heart" she said smiling as a few fawns rushed by playfully, a soft laugh leaving her as they continued on. "I don't think it will ever leave my heart" she said looking at him and laughed softly..

Sage would look over at her,

Sage would look over at her, ears twitching. "But do you think you'll ever leave?" he asked. The idea of traveling to anywhere besides the forest was almost surreal to him, especially knowing that somewhere out there the Human World existed. Compared to all the dimensions that residents of the forest have traveled to, he hadn't seen anything. "It's probably not difficult to get bored of this place once you've seen what lies beyond it.."

TreeDancer's picture

She thought about that

She thought about that question. "I don't know..as of now I'm happy so probably not" she smiled. His last comment caused her to shrug. "Everywhere has its own beauty an its own ugliness...When I get my magic I'll show you some of my favorite places. And though I've been to many places this place still is my home" she looked at him and her smile widened.

The white stag would continue

The white stag would continue to walk alongside her, their pelts brushing slightly for an instant. Having her there was comforting, especially considering he'd probably be by his lonesome this early in the morning. "Don't tempt me, Prim," he'd grin. "I'd lose it if you suddenly showed up at my doorstep with a portal to another universe." He'd let out a soft huff. "Even talking about it is hard to believe." He'd glance at her. "I assume you've been to the human realm?"

TreeDancer's picture

She laughed and nudged him.

She laughed and nudged him. "it is hard but I learned from a friend how to open them and I'd love to share it with my new friends!" she said excitedly. "Oh yes many times, many dimensions, worlds and eras" she said stopping a moment. "They are all so amazing! And I gathered lots of items to use for my charms and potions" she explained before walking on again.

He'd come to a halt just as

He'd come to a halt just as she did, lifting a brow as he'd hear her exclaim enthusiastically. He'd laugh lightly before followed her again, remaining by her side. "Do you know any others in the forest who do that type of stuff? Magic, I mean." His jet-black antlers would reflect the soft sunlight that drifted through the pine trees, almost giving him an aura.

TreeDancer's picture

"Yes many" she nodded and

"Yes many" she nodded and hummed as she walked. It went without saying that most of the inhabitants knew how to do this though she did know a few that did not either. "But its not easy to learn, I couldn't travel at first when I came here."

He looked ahead, absorbing

He looked ahead, absorbing their surroundings and keeping track as to where they were exactly. "How'd you learn?" he'd ask, finally glancing at her for a moment.

TreeDancer's picture

"A friend of mine taught me

"A friend of mine taught me how to 'see' and 'feel' the portals and how to open them. It is not easy and you need an affinity to magic to even attempt it, I use to make charms that could help those without magic jump between..."she sighed.

Sage watched her, frowning

Sage watched her, frowning slightly. He'd stop in his tracks, looking at her. "Prim," he'd start, "I don't want you to feel any less, just because you don't have magic." He'd bite his lip for a moment, wondering if what he was saying as out of line. He knew that Prim was probably having self-doubts; she'd been clear about that when he'd told her about his stomach pains. Yet, she was able to help him without her magic. He respected and admired her for that, and he hoped she knew that. "If there's any way I can help, you tell me. I'll run around the entire forest if you needed me to!" he'd tell her, voice firm. Losing her magic must feel like losing a limb, or an ear. Or her voice. He tried his best to understand what she must feel, and he hoped maybe he'd be able to distract her from her troubles. "And if you ever need to... talk. You know the guy." He'd give her a reassuring smile.

TreeDancer's picture

She stopped and listened to

She stopped and listened to what he had to say. Her expression softened as he offered his services if she needed it. "You're so sweet, and thank you I'll remember that if I ever need the help" she chuckled lightly. It was nice that someone she'd only known one day was already so willing to help her. The forest had a few souls like this and she was glad, the world was too shut off as of late and warm souls like this were needed. "Same to you you know"

The white stag gave her a

The white stag gave her a nod, only to grin at her last few words. "Good to know." He would glance about, realizing they were getting nearer to the bridge. He'd give her a smile, lowering his head to nudge her along. He'd begin to trot toward the Pond, swerving to the side as he'd skid into the shallow water. He bowed down to take a few hearty gulps, hooves stirring ripples in the surface.

TreeDancer's picture

She smiled and followed close

She smiled and followed close behind. She then joined him in the pond for a drink. The water was always cool and refreshing and she felt life fill her with each gulp. She lifted her head, water dripping from her chin and she walked a little further into the pond to watch the koi dance around the reeds. A soft giggle left her as one dashed around her legs before going back to the reeds.

Sage would watch the smaller

Sage would watch the smaller doe as she seemed to be observing the pond life. He then too made his way a bit further into the water, but not to the point where he couldn't feel the ground. "Truth be told," he'd mutter, "I'm not all that good at swimming." He looked at her, ears flattening for a moment.

TreeDancer's picture

She giggled softly "it isn't

She giggled softly "it isn't all that hard really" she said turning to face him. "The key is to remain calm and keep your legs moving slowly and to breath slowly and deeply" she instructed. "But its alright, the gods protect us by turning us into frogs if we sink too far " she giggled. Turning she walked out of the pond a little till the water was at her knees and then kicked, splashing the other and bound across to the other end of the shallows.

Sage blinked. "Wha-" He cut

Sage blinked. "Wha-" He cut himself short as he felt water splat against the side of his face and chest. "ExcUSE mE-" he'd holler, turning his body in place so he was facing the doe. He saw her trotting away ever so daintily, and the white stag let out a snort. He grinned before he gave chase, splashing into the surface of the water as he closed the gap between he and Eloa.

TreeDancer's picture

She gave the most innocent

She gave the most innocent expression and fluttered her eyes as if to say "I did nothing". But when he lunged at her she let out a squeal. He was much taller than she and watching him bound forward with big splashes caused her to feel a rise in her adrenaline. She dashed away trying to avoid his splashes but he made it to her in no time. So instead she reared, splashing back and even threw a few pond reeds over his back. She had to win SOMEHOW"

The amber-eyed stag skidded

The amber-eyed stag skidded to a halt, splashing water all over the doe. "Oops," he sneered only to let out a yip at feeling reeds tangle themselves in his antlers and coat. "EugH!" He craned his neck to the side, grabbing a reed in his teeth before swinging his neck back and tossing the plant in Eloa's direction. "Two can play at that game!" he'd snort before leaping over her and high-tailing it toward higher ground; specifically toward the bridge.
TreeDancer's picture

The plant splatted directly

The plant splatted directly on her face and she shook it off giving him a firm glare before it broke and she laughed it off following close behind as fast as her small frame could follow.

The stag made it to the

The stag made it to the bridge and he'd trot along the side of it, hopping up onto the edges which were there to provide a barrier. He would walk along the top of it, knowing he could probably fall off at any second if he wasn't careful. He looked back at Eloa, lifting a brow.
TreeDancer's picture

She kept running at full

She kept running at full speed, laughing the whole time and without hesitation she leapt at him tacking him on the bridge and down into the water below. She knew it was deep enough where he could stand without being under water and so she didn't think twice about the action. Once under she kicked her legs to get to the surface. She on the other hand was still too short to stand in the water and so she tread water as she waded for him to realize what had just hit him.

(I figured it'd come to his neck or something so he didn't need to worry bout swimming lol)

As he watched her close in on

As he watched her close in on him he didn't realize she wasn't actually slowing down. "WaI-" The air was knocked out of him as the smaller doe tackled him and sent them both plunging into the river's cooling waters. Sage went under for a few seconds before he found his footing and pushed his head out from under the surface. He took a gasp of air, shaking his head to dry himself off... more or less. He glanced about, grinning to himself once he saw Eloa poke her head out of the water. He let out a snort, "Uncalled for." He dipped his chin down, filled his mouth with water and then spouted it at her. Laughing, he began to wallow down the river and toward the bridge-- well, under it.
TreeDancer's picture

She giggled and shook her

She giggled and shook her head after he had squirted water all over her. The big guy could hold a lot in that huge mouth of his. She then followed close behind, treading lightly and humming. "I didn't hurt you did I" she asked swimming beside him. It had not really occurred to her till afterwards just how far a drop that had been. Even she felt fatigued from the fall.

He glanced back at her, the

He glanced back at her, the shadow of the bridge falling over both of them now. "Please, I was made for being tackled unexpectedly," he chuckled. He threw her a look, eyes twinkling with humor before he halted and looked up slightly. On the stones that made up the underneath of the structure, the water's blue reflections created an ambient light. He'd never, in all his life, figured that coming underneath the bridge might be worth looking into. "It's.. surprisingly pretty down here," he'd mutter. His voice echoed against the bridge's walls.

TreeDancer's picture

She looked up as well before

She looked up as well before scooting over to the edge so she could stand. "Yes, it is quite lovely. I've not been under here before" she said, her voice distant as she watched the reflections of the water dance on the stones. The moss hung in thick clumps and the dampness gave it a somber but calming feel. "Something I will remedy from now on" she laughed. Her voice echoed lightly beneath the stone arch.

He would share in the laugh,

He would share in the laugh, gently threading the water as he'd approach her. He clambered onto the little bit of 'land' that there was underneath the wide bridge, and he'd let out a satisfied sigh. "So, apart from your lovely little loft in the Bowl, d'you have any other spots you like to head to on your downtime?" His ear twitched, sending small droplets of water in all directions.

TreeDancer's picture

"Mmm" she nodded, eyes still

"Mmm" she nodded, eyes still on the water reflections on the stone. "I like the ruins, I spend a lot of time there and over looking the pond, both are my favorite places" she said glancing back at him. "The birch is my other favorite, when I want to escape from the more crowded parts of the forest" she added, looking back up at the stone.

Sage would nod to himself,

Sage would nod to himself, looking back toward the water. His gaze fixated on the subtle ripples on the surface, studying their movements. The stag began to hum a deep melody, his voice rumbling in his throat. The sounds echoed, bouncing off the stones and the water.
TreeDancer's picture

Eloa's ears perked up as he

Eloa's ears perked up as he hummed, listening to the melody and when she felt as though she knew enough of it she joined in harmony with his.

His ears perked as he heard

His ears perked as he heard Eloa's voice begin to sink into his own. He smiled to himself, closing his eyes. "Who's gonna be the first one to start the fight? Who's gonna be the first one to fall asleep at night...?" He opened his eyes for a brief moment, just long enough for him glance down at his reflection. "Who's gonna be the last one to drive away? Who's gonna be the last one to forget this place...?"

TreeDancer's picture

She did not know the words

She did not know the words and so kept singing along through hums and ahhs. Her eyes closed letting the music melt into her mind. Song and music was a great love of hers and it was a rare moment when she could join in with another in song.

"We keep taking turns... Will

"We keep taking turns... Will we ever learn...?" In between words, he'd spare a glance at Eloa. He saw the peaceful expression on her face as she harmonized along with him. It put a smile on his face, and he lifted his head slightly to allow his words to roll off his tongue and into the space underneath the bridge. "Ooohhhh, spaces between us... keep getting deeper... harder to reach ya, even though I try. Spaces between us... hold all our secrets.. leaving us speechless, and I don't know why..." A shiver ran up his spine; this was his favorite part. Hah. "Who's gonna be the first to say goodby-ah-ah-ah-aeeee..."

TreeDancer's picture

She continued to sing with

She continued to sing with him but when he reached the last part she softened her voice and turned to watch him. He was really getting into it, it was nice to see such passion in another. She added a soft hum at the end of his note and giggled breaking the magic a little.

He opened his eyes at hearing

He opened his eyes at hearing a small little hum from beside him. He looked at her, a little flustered at the fact he'd gotten so... involved in that song. He laughed softly and then nudged her cheek for a brief moment. "Hi," he'd say, chuckling all the while. "Seems I got a little lost there." The stag cleared his throat, the water lapping at his hooves. "I don't know about you, but laying down on some rocks and drying off sounds nice right about now."

TreeDancer's picture

She giggled "Hey, no its ok

She giggled "Hey, no its ok its nice to see such passion in things, especially music" she said with a deep sigh. It wasn't till he mentioned it that she felt a chill slide up her spine and she shivered. "Yes...that probably would be a good idea" she said shaking the water from her pelt "there is a nice sun spot right up top we can dry there" she suggested.

"Yes please." The bulky stag

"Yes please." The bulky stag began to wallow through the water once more, eventually clambering up the side of the riverbed and onto dry land. He shook himself, water droplets flying in all directions, before he glanced back toward Eloa who would be following his lead. "Ladies first." He added a small, curt bow for added sass.

TreeDancer's picture

She jumped up as well,

She jumped up as well, daintily shaking water from her pelt and made sure it didn't get on the other before skipping forward to the sun spot. She flashed him a bright smile as she trotted by. The sunlight felt amazing on her pelt as she stepped into the bright light. This place seemed to always be bright and warm regardless of the weather. She tucked her legs beside her body and sighed as the sun immediately began to dry her fur. "This is turning out to be such a nice morning" she hummed.

The larger stag would waltz

The larger stag would waltz over to her, plopping down beside her. He'd smile to himself as the sun shone down on the pair, but considering his pelt was so bright it almost had a glow to it. "I'm glad," he smiled, black hooves tucked underneath him. "Know any good games?" he asked, raising a brow.
