Has been mostly staying out of the Forest, visiting occasionally for certain purposes - one of which hasn't yielded results in four months, now, but has been finding amusement in continuing it regardless.

Taken to a healer's to have some of the more urgent of her wounds tended to, only at Sky's prompting. Unconcerned when she was led to a room at an inn after until realizing said room was filled with Sky's personal belongings and looked very lived-in. While she normally would have welcomed the chance to be in Sky's space, felt extremely misplaced and invasive under the circumstances, and spent what time she was conscious restless and all but avoiding the other. Parted ways early in the morning after asking Sky-Sight when she planned to return to the Forest. Wanted to do a lot of things but when Sky said she'd probably return soon, opted to keep her concerns to herself apart from a brief, and abrupt warning as she left.
Returned to the Forest much later after checking on a few things. Mostly wanted to be around in case something happened to Sky-Sight, but on realizing the shepherd wasn't even here allowed herself to lower her guard and linger around a quiet spot in the Birch. Took note of a few familiar scents as well as Sky's arriving in forest after not too long but didn't stir until long after an unexpected approach.
Spoke heatedly with the Leviathan when she came over, bristling through the outset at the serpent's probing and the invasion of her space. Contained herself (barely), enough to give a few answers but only ones that suited her mood at the time, spending much of the conversation distrustful and on edge over Levi's intent and making up her mind what approach to take. Felt more off balanced at the end with a hunch that conflicted heavily with a deeply help notion, but thankfully didn't have long to entertain the feeling.
Given a fairly good reason to end the conversation, not that she cared if it was a good one. Overly chipper in pointing out that things should all be just fine now, and remained tense and reeling until long after Leviathan disappeared through the tall grass.

Spent the past days in hiding, recovering slowly, and painfully, which was incredibly boring to top it off. Too exhausted to mind it much, and otherwise occupied with one or two small tasks that kept her in the Forest, it didn't take long to catalog one abnormality late into last night. Decided she'd be best off keeping watch on it from afar, especially on getting close enough to see what - rather, who, it turned out to be.
Spent the better part of this afternoon moving stiffly around the Forest and trying to find out more about the strange creature, unsure if or what it might know about her or if its timing and location were a coincidence or not. Careful to keep herself around other individuals in an attempt to mask any traces she might give off as she casually rounded the Forest. Noted, also, another presence near the site of Jae's death and despite an urge to address the griever (Sloane), opted to keep her distance for the time being. Made time to check-in with Sky-Sight in the midst of this, somehow, and entertained the thought of filling her in. But it was kind of a long story and Sky looked sleepy...
Managed to postpone wiser choices until later in the day when noting the beast had found their way over to Sloane. Not very surprised, or concerned, though she knew the encounter could likely only go a few ways. Moved off from current 'company' (a badly injured Persephone) without preamble when the Wolfheart was led over to them, waiting a few moments as the Abnormality fell into place nearby and slipping away. Found again by the pair at the Ruins, and this time watched curiously as Sloane addressed her.
Ambivalent at first over her approach, feeling some removed sense of appreciation for the other's anger, but even that was distant and nearly unreachable under a feeling of hollow impatience for the situation. Feigned ignorance at first (though truly had a difficult time remembering just what Jae looked like, when the Faux Wolf gave a description) and kept an eye on A-ster, as well as a much farther Sky-Sight. Attempted to stoke Sloane's fury and what felt like an inevitable fight that was brewing, now only hoping to make Sloane so mad that her attention and the uncertain intentions of the creature would both be focused on her when Sky tried to help. Made one comment she hoped would rush things along, and while it helped, struck by the Wolfheart's restraint to the last minute. Wondered if she would have that much patience if the roles were reversed but didn't have long to think about it when Sloane finally tore after her.
Engaged with her on and off, not surprised by the spite and vigor with which her attacks were given and in other circumstances probably would have been impressed. But her attention was arrested by the beast who had ended up neck and neck with Sky. Mildly infuriated but had also expected it, and attempted to aid Sky despite being able to do little as the direct recipient of Sloane's wrath. Didn't miss Sloane's pointed attempts toward her injured leg and gained a full appreciation of the Wolfheart's temper several times at the feeling of hooves and teeth sinking into her haunches. Tried at one point to (unsuccessfully) steer their pursuers toward an onlooker (Accendare) and then to Greitai. 'Went along' with Sky herding her to the 'safety' of Greitai but was already running by the time the raptor charged her, having had no more intention of staying with them than Greitai did of letting her.
Ran past A-ster and Sloane and tried again to lead them off, wasting what little was left of her strength when Sky moved back in seconds later anyway. Finally felt her temper explode as Sloane continued to give chase, charging accusingly at the Wolfheart when their continued brawling left Sky to deal with A-ster. Gripped by a familiar hatred for the fickleness of so-called allies and family, and was only aware of herself being shepherded away moments later by Sky-Sight herself, managing one last smile fixed in the direction of the three other individuals long after she could make out their shapes.
Made a poor attempt to veil her disgust by the time she realized where Sky had brought her, animosity toward the Compass's loved ones briefly suppressed to violent shaking as she suggested Sky go back and look after them. Felt compelled to try and tell her what she could about A-ster, and managed to partially before Sky shot the notion down, saying the others could take care of themselves but she apparently couldn't and "either you go willingly or I'll knock your lights out and drag your rainbow ass through the door." Obviously too charmed to protest, hobbled on through the rift.

Remained in Forest for as long as she was able to, but was eventually forced to choose between two unpleasant outcomes. Reluctant to depart without being able to tell Morgen, especially, but having had a specific issue already acknowledged by her friend, also felt like it was emblematic of a bigger decision that she was determined to leave to Morgen's choosing. Despite her inner excitement and agreement to an idea proposed by Morgen months ago, not inclined to suggest there is anything lacking about their friendship as it stands, or that the Seaspray has ever been anything other than a pillar of support exactly as she is. Appreciates that are some things that you don't need to be told.
Couldn't tell Sky of her intentions to leave either, despite a sharp and very selfish impulse to do it which was immediately denied by her better sense. Unsure how the Compass would take her approach and was enough to think back on some aspects of their last encounter as an unofficial "goodbye," even if it fell painfully short in many others.
In her time outside, spared only a passing thought to her existing injuries or the numerous additional ones that would be procured through weeks of diligent work. Gave even less thought to the ones acquired on her return today, barely hesitating to take the attention of a childhood tormentor (Laidli) and falling into an an almost nostalgic game of brutal pursuit. Found something wistfully affirming about the battering received and the dissonant buzz of Forest residents going about their evenings around them. Lost the Worm's attention before they lost hers, wearing many more injuries by the time it was over, and found something comforting about that as well.
Broken from the cycle of apathetic violence to visit to a friend of a friend, and after a slip-up with the crocodilian creature ended with a severely torn and mangled leg, nearly fretted she'd botched up something that was incredibly important. Thankfully - the Godmarked did a great job of keeping himself in a frenzy and his blood nice and circulated until she was close enough to reintroduce the foreign agent to his system, though by then it was no longer necessary. Curious about a few things, but eventually left to make some flimsy efforts with her own injuries before passing out.
Aww, thank you! c: Not at the
