Ravyn worded it perfectly. It's dreamlike and somehow thick-feeling, if that makes sense. The colours are outstanding too. Was it nighttime?

I remember my first real time in the forest, when Ryff was first born and just a fawn. The forest was red with twilight. Meeting all the new deer on that day is still one of my fondest memories in this game.
