(not an insult, heh...i just mean, similar head-type...i drew horses the same...never really drew deer until a few months ago)

That's good for a first! And yes, it looks alot like my first wolves, too. Then again, all my animal heads used to look the same. They kind of still do. XD

Not an insult either. Lovely picture.

At least you have the jaw right.

On my first wolf heads, and I still kind-of do (can't help hel)...I drew the jaw ending before the end of the top part XD;
