Tonight’s exercise in frustration. Traditional media. Markers kicked my arse and wiped the floor with me.

Inking with micron pens on smooth Bristol paper.



Utterly ruined with prismacolor markers XD

And my scanner wouldn’t work so cruddy cell phone picture is all I gots. *fail* @_@

There’s Coatl, peaking around the side there. He was quite interested in what I was doing. He always watches me when I’m working on art or bustling around the office.

Thanks Bintaroung! Markers are very unforgiving is what I can say. I've had some marker pieces I was really pleased with...but plenty I've ended up tearing my hair out over, cursing and throwing things XD

Why markers? Why you so mean! >.<

What are you saying? You did a fantastic job as always! Markers can be really scary when you just start using them since they don't exactly come with an eraser, but they can be fun once you get the hang of them! So I've been told.

Your art is always so delicious! I love the details of Herla this time and she looks almost real! <3

And Coatl is so cute, I've always loved snakes. There are 2 in the zoology museum, I've held a small boa around my neck. And the other snake, too. Can't remember, what it's called. Coatl almost looks like the boa there, the pattern seems so same. Smiling

Edit: Oh wait, I've ALMOST always loved snakes. When I was smaller, I was afraid of them, but I had never seen one. x)

Ugh, what I would give to be able to color traditionally, let alone draw traditionally too.
