The Curious One

- Woke up on one of the large rocks by the blueberry patch; surrounded by deer. Startled that she hadn't heard any of them come while she slept, she ran for the hills. Or rather the pond, seeing as she was bad with directions. Soon as the liquid mass entered her field of vision, the doe skidded to a stop. Would today be the day she investigated the mysterious waters? Good as any other day, she supposed and headed to the sandy shore. Wandering around a small group of deer, she stopped at the edge before willing herself onward. Into the cool waters she splashed, shivering at the sudden temperature change; and yet, that was it. No getting sucked into a void, nothing swimming up to eat her. Pleasantly surprised, she frolicked in the waters till the group from before chased her off. Roamed around till she found the biggest patch of blueberries yet! This could make a nice home...

- Her dreams were troubled, at least, she thought they were. She kept reliving the image of that pale room and the strange creatures inside it. When she finally came to, the rain had stopped. How long had she been asleep? The mysterious mushroom had disappeared back into the dark earth and she lay there, alone and in the open. Frightened by this aspect she leaped to her hooves, or she would have, if they weren't still asleep. Flopping over once more, Cecilia was forced to wait till her legs didn't act like jelly. While laying there fuming, a few fawns came to visit. At first they seemed curious and happy to have met someone new then annoyed when she didn't get up. Feeling an overwhelming sense of guilt as they walked away, the doe tried again to stand. Yet by the time she was up, they were gone. I'm sorry..., she thought as she ventured off. The doe stayed in the blueberry patch for a while, till another deer chased her off. Guess she wasn't the only hungry one!

- Upon finding shelter in the lark Oak tree, she collapsed into a wet puddle of fur and feathers. Too ruffled to care about the other deer in the tree, she fell asleep quickly. Her dream was a strange one, she was floating in nothing again but there was light below her now; not above. Swimming to it was very hard, the currents kept pushing her back, like they didn't want her to see what this new light was. Breaching the bubble of light, she was sucked into a different place. A small room with white walls, in-fact, everything was white; the floor, the door, the windows and everything outside the windows. The only thing that wasn't bleached were the inhabitants. They sat on the ground, one large one small. Dark hair grew atop their otherwise bare heads and freckles speckled their skin. The doe tried moving closer to them but as she took her first step the larger slowly looked up with swampy green eyes that matched her own. Slowly, they waved, the little one watched the bigger then began to wave too though they didn't seem to know what they were waving at. Trying another step, she met resistance; so much so that it began to suck her back out of the light. Struggling against the new current, she flailed in the darkness and watched the waving beings fade away. Awaking with a gasp, the doe found she was still safe in the tree, only all the other deer had left. Finding her strength, she made her way back to the pond. Unable to bring herself to step in the cold water, she waited under a mushroom; simply watching from afar.

- Her long lashes parted and there she was, floating in an empty space. She knew not how she got there or how long she had stayed but she waited. Bobbing in the nothingness, she hoped; longing for something more than silence and dark. Sure enough, a light slowly dawned overhead. Tilting her face up towards its brilliance, the doe embraced it. Following the silver bubbles, she rose to the light as it grew and grew. Breaking the surface, the doe gasped and gulped, her lungs eagerly filling with the crisp cold air. It stung but she didn't stop. Floundering in the water, she slowly made her way to the shore. Finding no purchase on the slippery ground the doe went tumbling down onto the sandy shore. Squinting into the grey haze, it was almost too bright for her to see. Staggering up to her hooves with all the gracefulness of a newborn fawn, she stumbled around in the rain; looking for shelter.
- Mood And Well-being
- Lost and confused, eager for company but scared to join others.
- Her Appearance
- A young doe with a dark pelt, a plume of green-ish black feathers sits upon her head. Based after a sika deer, she retains her creamy fawn spots. Some days she'll wake up with a deer face, others a human face. Markings are the same on both. I'm aiming for the magpie pelt, magpie feathers and dunno for the mask! C: I will eventually color the picture below!
