A Little Help Please

Hi, I'm new to The Endless Forest and I'm having a problem with something.
My friend tells me that the mushrooms that give you magic are pink, when the only mushrooms I see are brown and they don't give me any magic. I'm not getting any magic from pine cones either. Neither am I getting the icon when you have magic.

When you try to get the magic, is there a pictogram (the shiny golden thing) above your deer's head?

As FishBiscuit said, if you don't get any magic you're probably not logged in. Check if the dot in the bottom left corner is red, orange or green and if you got your sign above your head. If it's orange it means you're not logged in. Press esc, then go to Network to log in. Smiling
As for pink mushrooms.. Idk. Maybe they meant the mushroom circles? They appear sorta pink in certain weather, but other than that...

I'm making sure I'm logged

I'm making sure I'm logged in, but the dot is still orange when I've logged in and and I haven't seen a sign above my head yet.

What game Version do you use? Do you get any error messages when logging in?

Hmm, never had that problem before. You could ask over at the Tale Of Tales Forum as the creators often check there.
