Leaving The Womb

Chapter One
It was exactly a year ago since my birth. A terrible unusual birth, or maybe some would call it death. Unlike you, I was not born from a womb, I was brought down and was placed in a grave, a solitary, dark, space that acted like a womb I'm at least guessing. The grave was heated like the insides of a pregnant doe, and yet, I wasn't cramped up. The grave was pitch black, a food source lines the edges. The food was to last for two months, that was my development stage. And everything changed....On that day, the day, of my birth.
Sunrise has started, beautiful reds, purples, pinks, and oranges stretched across the sky, the grass below was painted a beautiful glimmering Green lined in sliver reflecting dew drops. The morning was calm besides the birds in a small place for the graves of many deer. Going from beauty and wonder, one deer only saw pitch black, and felt nothing but the cob webs lining the walls of his sanctuary. Yet, his ears swerved around, something was outside, he gazed around the darkness he had gotten so used to, the heat only making sweat fall from his grey and white pelt. Suddenly a large screeching sound filled his ears and rays of death, or what he felt they were, cast down on him. Crying in pain at the feel of the sun beating on his pelt, and burning his eyes, something stepped forwards and shaded him. "Hush," a calming voice filled the fawn's ears and he squinted his eyes as he gazed up, his pelt wet from the grave called his womb. Reaching out the buck examined the fawn, for he was never sent to fetch a raven faced Fawn. "Your beak is quite....Different for me," he explained and turned. "If you are to survive, you must stand and climb out of your grave, rise! One of death!" The buck called out. The fawn paused, raven faced? One of death? His fur ruffling he shook the sweat and juices from his pelt before he struggled to stand. Luckily the large deer was patient. His weak legs trembling, he rose them to hold his weight. Looking around he stopped, the grave was so low to the ground, his head barely poked out of the grave. Reaching out with his front legs, he attempted to climb over. Yet, with a wrong step, rocks started to crumble before his soft hooves. Crying out he started falling back into the grave when he felt sudden sharp teeth, not normal for a deer to have pierced the back of his neck and dragged him out of the grave. Dropping the fawn he paused and looked harder. "Runt," he grunted and turned tail. The fawn was indeed a runt, it was hard to see what he was so low to the ground. Shaking out his glorious large pronged horns, he looked back to the Fawn. "Come!" He snapped and started off without hesitance, he hated runts, and yet he was still stuck with him. Getting up from his predicament he gazed around, the harsh sun light near blinding him as he attempted to catch up to the buck.
They had waited for night before the Buck actually took him somewhere. Taking him to these large rock formations, the buck closed his eyes for a moment and drew his muzzle towards the darkened day, as if waiting for something. It was about twenty minutes until the buck looked down again. "Kurai, ones name who speaks of Darkness! You have started your journey from a grave to follow in the path of Karanu, meaning Raven. I will be your mentor until I feel you have grown enough to stay on your own." He grunted as he jumped from the rocks with a hard THUD. "Kurai, Pelt of Greys and Whites, I will teach you what you need to know in this world. And how to follow against the wishes of Karanu, our dark speaker. And yet, even though the young Fawn nodded, he knew what these words meant, and he didnt feel right for it, he worried for what his teachings might bring, weather it be pain and suffering to others or a carnivorous act. He wanted nothing to do with harming the hearts and souls of others.
