My icon and my signature? Normally I draw my own, but in this case some lovely folks made art for me and I modified them into size-appropriate images to fit in my avatar and signature so that I could show off my friends' awesomeness.
You can use anything as simple as MS Paint or as complex as Photoshop to work with images.
I'd like to say that the icon image you are using belongs to Flatsoda (here is a link to the image: X), and while I understand you enjoy it, please ask permission from the artist to use it. It is looked down upon (and if you're claiming that art/character as your own, then it is art/character theft).
