From day one, Kosshi never knew how to convey her emotions properly. Expressing her feelings was hard - frustrating, at that - and showing her true self was a chore. As she matured, that never changed. She would be speechless on numerous accounts, never knew how to show real appreciation or great thankfulness, and couldn't show she was happy. Never was it medical, but all in her head. Kosshi, now a fine young doe, still finds herself at a loss for words - ahem - motions occassionally. Despite her inability to show what she is truly feeling, the deer knows how to behave and hold a conversation.

She's kind and always keeps an open mind, even if something she does not exactly prefer is ensuing around her, she may just sit and enjoy. Kosshi was always mature, and now is no exception. A wise, loving doe she is, and she'll be that till the day she dies. Unlike many deer these days, she does not usually join in a group, walk up to a deer, and so on. She prefers to sit peacefully in a sunbeam or sprawl across a patch of long-stemmed flowers in the Birch Forest. The beauty of the Forest gets her, time and time again, and so you may see her strolling gracefully through the forest, slowly and with no intention of speeding up. She loves to meet new deer, as long as they are kind and caring. Fawns, however, give her a certain satisfaction. They are so new and fresh and willing to learn, she loves to teach them the ways of the forest or show them the beauty they are surrounded by.

Kosshi is a very relaxed deer, always promoting a peaceful experience in the Forest. Along with that, she is very sophisticated and elegant. The type of deer who does not strut, but is very fluid and graceful in their movements. She presents a calm, mellow aura, hoping that she can help others to wash away their problems. Matching that, she will always lend an ear and a shoulder, listening to anything that may be bothering another. Whether friend or not, she will appreciate the company of another deer, unless they constantly annoy her or frighten her. She never looks to pick a fight, unless the other has done something to upset her beforehand. By no means does she disapprove of flambouyant behaviour, it merely tires her. As well, the back of her mind is always filled with dreary thoughts of past, present and future happenings always seeming to slow her down.

Kosshi, now a doe, has grown her pelt. The soft, fine hair of when she was a fawn has grown out and in place of the light brown is a bright red colour. Her mask - often depicted or taken as her real head - is that of a real deers, the red stemming all the way there, covering even her ears and muzzle. As a doe, her antlers are barely there, mere stubs compared to a bucks. Her hooves are a light granite color, contrasting well with her bright red coat. As she prefers sunbeams to lay in, her pelt works wonders. In the natural light it glows, making the doe look almost surreal. Kosshi, though, does not feel that way about herself - surreal - she does not pride herself on her appearance, does not strut, and feels envious once and a while of other beautiful does.

As are most deer, Kosshi was born into a family of numerous fawns, a stag that demanded control, and mother bent on them growing up too fast. Young and shy, the young doe did not mesh entirely well with her flambouyant siblings; crisp and exciting opposed to her huddled, quiet personality. Her family belonged to a rather average size herd, bordering on small, consisting of her mother, siblings, father, two other does and their children. Her father was the leader - alpha - by default, as the other stag had abandoned his family. This is a very common thing with deer, considering most males only desire the power and control of having another doe they have made their mark on. Kosshi knew, however, that had the stag stayed, there would have been a fight, considering Demetri, her father, hungered for power and fame.

Demetri was not a humble person, but he was reserved. The strong and silent type. As heartless as he could seem at times, he was extremely smart and caring. He made the most sensible moves and had the logic solution to every situation. Any time a fawn was lost, or even a full grown doe, you could see the pain on his face. If anything, it was his own children he was harsh to on a daily basis. Kosshi felt the cool air around any time she approached him, and let he heart flutter at the sight of her father's orca pelt, shining gracefully in the sunbeams, skewed by his large, ivory antlers. She admired Demetri, and felt a rare bond between him and herself. She knew her sisters and young brother - as all her older brothers had be ejected from the herd as to not cause a threat - only saw him as a leader, but Kosshi saw her great, illustrious father.

The day Demetri died was a heart-wrenching one for Kosshi. The young doe watched the other fawns rub their antlers on roses and lavendar, laughing, rolling on their backs as she stood stock still. She was upon the roll of lush grass that was Demetri's favourite hill and nervously rubbed her front hooves together. Her mother, Valle, was hurt as her doughter could see, but did not show it. Instead of mourning, she wrestled her fawns, settling them down to the best of her ability. Kosshi knew cougars ventured onto the outskirts of the forest, but not this far. The stories never told of cougars coming this far into the forest. Every fawn had heard the, "Don't go to far or the cougars will get you!" or, "Stay where the trees are thick, we don't need another fawn for supper." Every deer knew to stay well into the forest, but now that the cougars were moving in so close, where was it safe? Kosshi knew that it was probably only a fluke, some adventurous cougar that had not eaten for days, but fear couldn't help but tug at her gently.

Weeks after Demetri's death, the morbid carcass was found. The only evidence beforhand had been the word of a passing guest deer that had seen Demetri with the herd earlier. That was not much to go by, but it was all they had. However, when Demetri's body was found at the borders of the forest, with no streaks of blood or signs of dragging, the fear was lifted. The only evidence of the battle were an array of hoofprints and cougar tracks showing a struggle. It did not take long for the fear to be gently cradled out the back of everyone's mind, for the rumor of Demetri's death within the forest had spread, but even faster spreading was the resolution.

After a fair while within the herd, Kosshi felt independance gnawing at her heels. Being watched by her mother seemed sour and young now, pushing the small doe to face her mother and tell her of her leave. Kosshi grabbed Valle's attention and took her aside. She was busy tending to the youngest fawns, the last ones that Demetri had fathered, but somehow her daughter managed to peel her away. She told her mother of how she was older now, and had more common sense and freedom begged her. Valle appreciated the forewarning and bade her daughter goodbye. The fawn nuzzled the herd one last time and parted. Now she was alone, wandering the forest by herself. However, she was never alone, the forest was always teeming with the bellows and stomps of other deer, making their way through the sunlit forest just as Kosshi now was. She was growing up.
