Rules:
1) To begin, use the intro below, or write a scenario yourself. You can also ask me to make a custom start if you can´t think of one and don´t like the one below, but don´t expect something very epic if you leave that up to my brains. I have nothing against action though, you have a permission to make the situation something more exiting if you´d prefer something else than just a conversation. Just keep things in good taste, and it´s all cool.
2) Deer-characters are preferred, since my deer does not leave from the forest. If you´d want to choose a human/something else character though, you can do that, if that character is somewhere in the Endless Forest. Just be prepared that my deer will probably be afraid of that kind of characters.
3) If you have a violent character, keep in mind that my deer isn´t aggressive nor has any special abilities. I don´t forbid fighting or action, but don´t want her to be beaten to death either. Use your common sense here, or if uncertain, ask. =)
4) Any form of RP is allowed. Feel free to draw sketches if you wish, and I´ll try to draw something back. I´ll also try to keep my answers about as long as yours, if my english-skills will allow that.
5) Have fun. I don´t take roleplay-drama or even my character very seriously, so sense of humor is allowed. =)
Intro 1:
The wind rustled gently the leaves of blueberry-bushes as it swept through the thick vegetation of the Blue Bowl. Though the place had looked quite deserted from afar, there was a glimpse of something bright and red among the calm sea of blue and green. If watched more carefully, there was also movement. A small deer grazed in the thicked, not seeming to give much thought to it´s surroundings. Poppies were hanging from its smallish antlers, and a grinning skull-mask covered it´s head, but otherwise there wasn´t really anything threatening in the small animal. Most of it´s - her - attention was in the food for now, and even though large, tattered ears flicked lazily at the rustle in the leaves, she didn´t raise her head untill she would notice someone coming closer. The berries were too tasty to leave all of them to the birds...
(May be adding more intros to choose from later if needed)
The beaver-like creature
"I don't get most of it, so I just try and piece it all together." Jergens mumbled, flopping his head back to the ground, his ears occasionally flicking at her voice, picking up meanings in her otherwise meaningless chittering.
"Fhyyeh... Fhyyeh..." she clicked out slowly, trying to get Spyrre to understand that she was saying her name.
It was always the easiest to start with, anyway.
((SHOOORT I'm sorry... My brains just completely conked out on me x-x))
@Ginger: (No problem, it´s
(No problem, it´s good if it says everything it needs to. =) )
The mini frowned slightly concentrating hard on listening, even wrinkling her nose managing so far only to look quite silly. She nodded also seriously at the platypus and his brother, both of her large ears up and directed at Olay. This was serious business now, she had to figure out the creature´s speech or Olay would be sad again. If she could manage as well as Jergens, who said that even he didn´t undrestand all but most, that would be more than enough. How hard it could be, right? The first noises didn´t sound like anything, but luckily they weren´t meant to be words at all she figured soon, but apparently that meant that the duck-thing was now happy. But when Olay pronouced slower sounds, she could almost make out a word. Almost.... but not quite. She wrinkled her brow again in concentration being silent for a moment, almost already shaking her head in disappointment. She heard the word, but what in tho world would a "Fhyye" mean? ...wait a second? The deer repeated the word silently herself, suddenly realizing what it sounded very similar of.
"Oh! Yes, I heard it, you were saying... Spyrre! Right?" She wagged her tail exitedly even more, tilting again her head. Names were of course the easiest ones to figure out at first, atleast the mini got it so far. Though, it could be still questined if she had actually figured out the word, or just guessed.
”Found! ” Kiraki giggled
Kiraki giggled happily and slipped back into the water with a splash. Her head bobbed up quickly to watch Spyrre, not wanting to let her slip away again so easily.
She made her way to the front of the doe , splashing water as she went.
”Hai.. hai…d? ” She asked doubtfully.
The word seemed somewhat familiar to her but she could not recall the exact meaning at that very moment. Words always seem to slip her mind when she was having fun in play. Looking up wide eyed at Spyrre she waited for some sort of explanation.
@Kiraki: "Uh, well.." She had
"Uh, well.." She had to think a moment how to explain such a simple word to someone... she wasn´t very good at explaining things anyway, but she was determined to try. Weird, if the fawn had never played this before, it was one of her favourite games in her past. It was already a good time for Kiraki to try it, then!
"It means that you go somewhere and try that I don´t see you. Then I come and try to find you. Like we just did before you jumped on me." The mini nodded her head like confirming what she just said was true.
"Just don´t go too far so you don´t get lost. Okay?"
And to this, Redd smiled
"You're probably right... That's... That's actually what I figured too..." He said, thinking back on the night he met one of the two Gods, the female one... Her gentle warmth and playful spectaculars; everything about her seemed to draw the then-fawn closer to her, like a child to its mother.
But then Spyrre's expression changed, as if she had seen something that scared her, and Redd looked at her with concern shining out of his entire face.
"Is s-something wrong?..." He asked, his eyes back to normal yet again.
Kiraki listened attentively
”No see… ” She mumbled more to herself than to the doe. A slight frown on her forehead as she tried to focus on understanding the words.
”We go… hide! ” She squealed in delight at the sudden remembrance of the term. Her face lit up in excitement and without waiting for any further response from Spyrre she dashed off into the dark.
((fff... Laaaate ;; )) The
The beaver-like creature squealed in delight, her tail loudly thumping against the ground. "Esh! Esh! Ooh ah ih igh!" Yes! Yes! You got it right!
She waddled even closer to the stranger deer now, letting her bill nibble away at bits and pieces of dirt on Spyrre's ankles, cleaning them.
Jergens had dozed off, his left eye popped open while the other stayed tightly shut. An odd, but understandable habit of his considering his unpleasent backround. He wasn't 'asleep', persay, as Jergens rarely ever 'slept'. He was dozing, yes, but that was about it.
Olay backed herself up, her fluffy pelt puffing up all the more with serious concentration.
"Mah ameh ih Oay... Mah ameh ih Oay..."
My name is Olay.... My names is Olay
@Chicken: The mini wasn´t
The mini wasn´t really very good at keeping her feelings or thought secret... usually she didn´t even try to, but now she had no idea what to say to the stag´s question. Her ears were still slightly pressed back, but she chewed down some berries seeming more confused that afraid.
"Huh? Oh, not really. I just... it was probably a reflection or... just surprised me, that´s all." Now she wasn´t sure herself what she had thought she saw anymore.. it probably wasn´t anything...
@Kiraki:
She had time only to nod once to the fawn, before it undrestood and desided to dash away without listening the rest of the "rules". Spyrre watched surprized expression on her face after Kiraki, almost also jumping on her feet. She didn´t though, after thinking a second, and instead desided to wait a moment as it was supposed to do. The mini thought of herself as a quite good "finder", so the fawn probably didn´t need to know other than going to hide and wait. Atleast it had looked very exited of the new game. The red-furred deer chucked, standing then up and started to trot in the direction she had seen Kiraki go. She didn´t know how to count to ten of course, but waited just so she figured that the little one had enough time to crawl under a bush or behind the tree nearby.
"You better be hiding now!" She called as she pranced towards the trees, her senses trying to pick up tracks or signs of the fawn.
Maybe it was behind that treestump...? Or the rock a little farther away?
Ginger:
It wasn´t very hard to figure out the exitement of the creature, and the mini laughed out happily.... uh, though, she didn´t really comprehend most of things that the platypus said... Most of, but atleast Spyrre undrestood what she meant, if not every word she said. Small deer wasn´t going to say this out loud though, wasn´t it the most important that she knew the meaning? She laughed at Olay nibbling her feet and nuzzled the smaller animal in return, not really noticing that Jergens had fallen asleep in the heat of the sun. When that would catch her attention though, she would probably get quite curious of his weird sleeping-habits.
"See, it´s not THAT hard!" She exlaimed cheerfully, bending then down again, almost her chin thoughing the ground to listen more.
...this one turned out to be trickier than the first single word. The mini blinked, listening then the sentence again, and frowned in concentration.
"...Olay?" She suggested, quessing soon the name first, remembering how Jergens had mentioned it. When the last word was figured out, the meaning was easier to come up with.
"...you are Olay!" Her grin got even wider.
(So sorry for the insanely
Kiraki dashed off into the dark, for a moment quite forgetting about the game at the sheer delight of running, but after a few strides she remembered that there was a game to be played. Slowing down just enough to properly scan her surroundings she looked around for the best potential hiding place.
She stopped behind a large tree, crouching down in an attempt to make herself even smaller than she already was. However not quite able to stay in one spot for too long she soon spotted a rock that seemed even bigger and she dashed over to hide behind.
She barely managed to remain in the second hiding spot for more than a few seconds before noticing a bush which she could crawl under.
With a grin she leapt towards it and hid underneath, but then she spotted a huge tree stump that might work even better. Unable to remain in any of her hiding spots for long she kept sneaking from one spot to another, so absorbed in finding a hiding spot that she had quite forgotten that there was more to the game.
I was thinking... Would you
Haha, I was almost forgotten
Of course, that sounds interesting, and it would be fun to write a bit to revive this thing! Would you want to write first? Could be that I don´t have time to answer right away, but I will at least tomorrow if that´s ok. =)
Oh, awesome! >w< And please,
~~
His nostrils were flaring.
His heart was pounding.
He could hear the blood rushing past his ears, running through his veins like burning acid.
He reared, shaking his head as the deep crimson crept up his legs, taking over his usual colour of bland grey.
He gasped, shutting his eyes tightly as all outwards sensory was blocked off and instead replacing with a screaming, searing pain in his chest.
The pain grew, soon filling his entire body until he could not stand it any longer.
He reared again and just as the red fur covered him completely, he let out a loud, blood-curdling, enraged roar, eyes and heart aflame.
He took off, fast as lightning, running in erratic patterns across the forest floor, a taste of bitter blood in his mouth and his vision covered in red.
He could not think... Could not feel anything but pain...
What was left of Redd in that beast of Rage was so minuscule, it was hardly more than a grain of sand in the desert...
Something bothered the peace
...didn´t she know this buck? At least she thought that she reconized the glimpse of the picto that she saw when he ran past, but could it be? He seemed and acted so strangely that the mini almost doubted she had seen wrong... though, the smell that she had felt was familiar. Spyrre gazed after him hesitating a moment, until the mini trotted after him. She felt curious, but suddenly also quite worried for reason she couldn´t really grasp yet.
It didn´t take very long to find the buck when following the sound of wild hoofbeats, and at last Spyrre got a better view of his pictogram. It was Redd, wasn´t it? But what was he running from? She quickened her pace, trying to catch up to him calling at him as she ran.
"Hello! Is something wrong? Why are you running?"
In response she merely got a
It was a petrifying glare, like looking a basilisk in the eye... Red shone from his eyes and his teeth were gritted in what looked to be pain and rage.
He gave a buck as she came closer, kicking out with his hind-legs at seemingly nothing, as if trying to throw some invisible rider off.
He grunted and huffed before picking up the pace again, running zig-zag in and out of the slender trees of the forest.
He didn't even seem to recognise her...
She flinched at his fierce
"Don´t you know me?" She tried again when she got near, even though she was gasping at air between her words.
"Wait! Is someone chasing you?"
As she got closer to him,
He closed his eyes tightly and hissed angrily at her, almost as if he was trying to say something, but some unseen force was stealing the words before they could roll off his tongue.
He roared in frustration and made a sudden, sharp turn, brushing up closely to a tree, leaving tufts of red fur on the bark, which, strangely, seemed to change back to grey as they left his body...
He didn't even seem bothered that his side was now scraped, he hardly even seemed to notice it at all... He just kept running, the tiny wings he had for antlers fluttering momentarily in the wind rushing by them.
Inside his head, Redd screamed out for her, tears stinging his eyes...
Spyrre flattened her ears at
"Stop, please! Why... are you angry at me?" Normally she might have just left the deer alone if it was this clearly trying to outrun her, but now she followed stubbornly even though the stag was probably faster than her. After seeing the haunted feeling on his face the mini couldn´t just leave him even though she didn´t know what she could do to help him.
Redd shook his head violently
Something was definitely amiss...
He groaned as he nearly missed another tree, apparently running into them on purpose by now, shaking down leaves and branches, his sides and flanks only getting more scraped.
If it weren't for the thick scarring already covering his body, he would have surely drawn blood by now.
He tossed his head and roared again, though soon his pace softened and he slowly sped down, the pain in his face becoming more and more prominent.
He was whimpering quietly between the groans and roars...
Again, he seemed to try
What was wrong with him? He was really suffering, blinded by rage and pain, Spyrre just couldn´t see a reason for it that she could have tried to help. She tried frantically find someone that could help them with her gaze but there wasn´t any familiar deer near she could have tried to ask. All she could think of was trying her best to keep up with him, maybe he would stop eventually... and then what, she wasn´t sure.
Suddenly the stag leaped to the air before her eyes. The stunned magpie-pelted deer almost tripped on her own hooves as his small wing-like feathered antlers suddenly grew to carry him through the air as real wings would. The flying buck would have probably lost her from his trail then if he hadn´t hit on a trunk to lose most of his speed and knocked him back to the ground with more bruises on his hide. And then he scraped on another tree, and another, and at last that seemed to get him slow down. Breathless Spyrre gained on him again gasping for air as she ran.
That had seemed really bad... she was sure that he was surely hurt himself badly at least now if not before.
"Wait! It´s okay, you´re safe!" The mini tried again to convice him that there was nothing bad to run from, fearing that he would just speed again at trees and really break something. At least Redd seemed to be tiring down... which was good, as the mini felt exhausted herself and couldn´t have kept up with him much longer.
And true enough, his breath
He was groaning and gasping, whimpering still, tiny vapour clouds standing out from his nostrils in the cool, September air.
His head dropped down in front of him as he walked, still briskly, through the forest, at last going in a straight line.
He was trembling softly as his body started relaxing and his groans became less animalistic.
He seemed to be calming down...
She trotted carefully closer
And after a while of walking
"S-Spyrre..." He groaned, his voice raw and predatory, but with a familiar softness to it that could only belong to the Redd she knew and cared for.
He groaned quietly before finally stopping completely, trembling as his pelt slowly started changing colour from furious red back into neutral grey... Even if a few chunks of it WERE missing and some scrapes revealed small, insignificant wounds, which had been invisible before due to his crimson coat.
He looked like a shaking, trembling mess...
Spyrre gave out silent but
"Yes?" She replied trying to not sound as tired as she felt, pacing the slowly closer noticing that he begun to shed the red color from his fur. The poor buck was quite a sad sight now, exhausted, shaking and even bleeding slightly. The mini sniffed at him worriedly and flattened her large ears at the smell of blood on his fur. Good thing that the wounds weren´t as bad as they could have been with this kind of storming around though. Carefully she touched his side with the beack of her mask trying to comfort the stag that still looked quite skittish.
"Oh, you´re hurt... you should sit down to rest!" She urged him with worried tone inspecting his wounds with her gaze. Though it was more his mental condition she was worried about than the small gashes on his hide wich was shockingly scarred to begin with.
"What were you running from?" The mini asked after hesistating a while. Redd seemed to be a lot more sane again but she was still trying to be careful with him just in case.
Giving a soft, tired nod at
"I... I don't kn-know..." He said, ears laid back and eyes closed. He sighed and gave a soft tremble.
"I d-didn't... h-hurt you, did I?..." He asked, directing big, blue, worried eyes at the tiny doe.
He hardly even cared about his own injuries and mental state! She was his first priority...
Oh yes, this was definitely the normal Redd.
Spyrre stood at his side as
"Oh no, I´m fine" She convinced with a shake of her head as he worried of her, giving then him a small comforting nudge.
"That looked really terrible though. Are you okay? I thought that..." She stopped the sentence before finishing looking confused, not really knowing what she had thought of... it had been almost too bizarre to grasp so quickly in middle of all the chaos. Instead the mini reached to groom carefully a wound on his side.
His skin twitched as the sore
"I..." He interrupted himself with a small sigh.
"I don't kn-know what h-h-happened... I w-was just... Just overwhelmed by th-this... rage..." He said the last word with an uncomfortable shudder. He smelled scared and confused, even as he rested his head in the soft grass, eyes half-lidded, dull and tired.
He couldn't think of himself at this very moment... he remembered Spyrre running next to him, her presence comforting him and calming him down, but he also remembered bucking and lashing out randomly... He could have hit her... He could have hurt her...
The small deer groomed him
"It was really weird, but I´m glad that you weren´t hurt worse than this. You didn´t even seem like yourself then..." Spyrre pondered with uneasy tone, flicking her ears nervously but got soon silent not wanting to upset him more. She could easily see that Redd was probably even more afraid than her, and she understood it if even he didn´t know what had gotten over him. Could it happen again?
"It wasn´t your fault though... and it´s over now. Let´s rest a while? Then we can go to the pond for a drink." She changed the subject after hesistating a moment trying to sound comforting. The priority now was to make Redd feel better.
As the tiny doe mentioned him
He shook his head and gently smiled at her suggestion.
"S-sounds like a good... id-dea..." He said, gently reaching back to nudge her forehead.
"Th... thank you so much..." He whispered quietly, not being able to express his gratitude at her sticking with him... calling out to that little part that had still been him, leading him out of the darkness...
She gave him a small smile
"It´s okay. Rest, I´ll keep watch for you." She promised and nuzzled his neck. Her large ears rose up to listen sounds all around, even though they both probably knew that the "monster" they were worried of didn´t live in the forest, but rather inside of him. But it felt comforting anyway, if anything dangerous would wander around she would surely be watching over him and wake him up. The red-furred beast he had turned into seemed to be gone for now anyway, all they could really do about it was to hope it wouldn´t appear again. Spyrre sighed and laid her head resting on fearful buck´s back but kept her senses alert in case something would approach or if he still had something to say. She was tired too, but the mini-deer wasn´t going to sleep until he surely was safe.
Feeling her tiny head on his
He sighed, feeling his heart slow down to a calmer pace.
"Spyrre, I... W-what am I g-g-gonna do?..." He whimpered helplessly, this new monster inside of him tearing at his mind and glaring out through his eyes, concealed for now in the back of his mind.
What would he do if it reared again?... What if she was near when it happened?...
She nudged him worriedly
"I... don´t know." The mini admitted honestly, thinking a moment. There had to be some reason for what happened, but neither of them had any idea what it was... was there anyone that could know?
"Do you know anyone who is good with these things? Or could know what it was?" She asked after a moment of uneasy silence. It made her quite nervous for not even knowing of where to begin solving this... But there had to be something they could do, right? Redd had defeated the "maddness" whatever it was, they just had to figure out how it was done. Sadly, that was probably a lot easier to say than to really accomplish.
