Just out of curiosity...

EDIT: Okay. I just tested my connection speed on speedtest.net:

Downloading: 286 kb/sec
Uploading: 57 kb/sec

Could this be my problem?

If other people would be willing to tell me how fast their computer downloads stuff, that'd give me a better idea about what causes my glitch :3

My connection's download

My connection's download speed is around 5,000 kb/s, last time I checked (or so the 'Speedtest' site says). 8O *doesn't know too much about connection speeds*

Really? Wow. Everything

Really? Wow. Everything beats Wildblue, lol. (wildblue is the ONLY satellite internet service thing that works for my area)

Pega: I just tested mine and got around 6,000kb (the speed's degraded over time, too >_>; ). But yea, your internet might have something to do with it.

I think you need to get a better ISP. XD Are you sure Wildblue is the only working one where you live?

We only got this (we had dial-up a few months ago) because the phone lines cracked this winter, so we can't use dial-up anymore...

My dad went searching for an ISP, and found that this was the -ONLY- one for our place x.x...

It's just...why would connection prevent me from seeing other deer, when they can see me move around now? My computer is no faster now than it was when I first got TEF...and yet, my ability to play has improved.

I don't think that's very good. :/ but it explains why other players freeze in place every now and then. n__n;

Wait...so if my connection were a little faster, I might be able to communicate with other deer...?

Maybe you could try

Maybe you could try contacting the company and see if they can...find some way to increase the speed a bit? Gah, I don't know what to do. D:

If it's a problem with my connection...there's no way I'll ever be able to fix it x.x WildBlue.net is owned by Google, so...I dunno if they'd ever be able to do anything...

When Michael said the glitch only started to occur after the game engine was updated, I thought it was just that, but now, I'm not so sure...

I haven't read ANYTHING in the support forum about anyone else with my problem :/

Don't give up yet! There still may be an answer to your problem... somewhere.
And I'm determined to help find that answer! *cue super-hero music*

Do you have something

Do you have something similar to the system requirements aside from the Fast Internet Connection?

2 Ghz processor (2.5 Ghz or equivalent recommended)

200 MB of free hard disk space after installation
256 MB RAM (512 or more recommended)

DirectX 9.0c

I love the game, I really,

I love the game, I really, really do, but...it really does get lonely playing without being able to communicate with deer who see you...or don't see you.

Sorry if I've caused too much drama here, everyone...*cowers*

@ Finny: I don't know, to be honest. I have NO CLUE how to check, I really, really have no clue x.x The only thing I know is that I have Windows XP.

No, you're not causing drama! This is a serious problem that needs to be fixed. D;
Um, well... I don't know if you use Vista or XP, but if you go into Computer on the Start Menu and then look in Computer Properties, it gives a little information about how much MB and such is on your PC.

I'm not sure whether Vista's

I'm not sure whether Vista's layout is different than XP's, but try going to Start>Control Panel>System to check those. Smiling

To check your version of

To check your version of DirectX, go to Start>Run, type in 'dxdiag', and click 'OK'. Then a window should pop up; it should tell you what version you have in the first panel.
