~large painting under the cut~
My half of an art-trade with Uitleger who requested some art and short writing of Jettem.
'Quiet here, under the cool crisp blanket where the crimson splash of me rests, content. The sky is pale and floating softly about my ears, down across my withers in a vail.
Here in the quiet I can collect myself; condense again after greetings, meetings, falters and friendship. I am warm and kind, a poppy refusing to sleep so I can wait to greet the first snowfall.'
Everything here is very
This is so gorgeous!
I love the angle you've drawn
I also absolutely adore the way you've done her face and mask, the tone of red and the way you've used it reminds me of magma running through stone.
The shade of blue you chose for her eyes also works incredibly well, it stands out beautifully against the red without being so sharp as to seem out of place or garish. I could say the same for the red of her body, it doesn't look painfully bright nor does it look boringly washed out.
Not making her mane flat black was also a good choice in my opinion, it really gives the illusion of many strands of hair existing without actually having to draw every strand. Which can make things seem cluttered in my opinion.
Lovely job as always ♥
Love this to bits <3

Tera! This is simply
The movement of snow, a lilt
I like how her nape is sticking up against the backdrop as Jettem turns to, perhaps, taste the air; the jaw, the body language.
I did a double-take at that last line.
