to have two different versions of TEF on your computer?
What if you had ver 3.21 on the C drive
and 3.20 on the D drive?
Because I'm getting fed up with my pictos not spreading and I'm wondering if 3.20 will have better luck. But I dont want to uninstall 3.21 and move 1000s of screenshots.
No it isnt...because the installer automatically installs it onto the C Drive. Ah well.
I've downloaded four versions on my computer, and whenever I want to change the version, I just install it. Takes two minutes. 8>
Once you have downloaded it from the website, don't just delete it.
Uwaaaa yeah...I havent deleted 3.20 well...the download |D. I guess I might have to do that.
Though I'm still curious about the two versions of TEF on one machine :B.
(4? 8O..well...I have 3 actually |D two are on here and one (3.0) is on the other computer XD)

Well, I download one version, make a new folder and copy the version into that new folder, then I delete the whole folder where The Endless Forest had been located before. Then I download a different version, etc etc..
Works for me
Tried three times. No luck with pictos regardless of the version :c but thanks anyway c:

To have two versions, you would do what I did to get the game to run on the school machines and on my dad's laptop. Copy the whole Tale of Tales folder and paste it on your desktop. Now, open the folder, to use the address bar as a reference for this next step. Right-click on the Forest icon on the desktop, and select Properties. You want to change the beginning part of the address from where it was on the C drive to where it is on the desktop. That's where having the Tale of Tales folder on the desktop comes in.
It sounds complicated, but it's not. It's how I get it to work on other machines without installing the game. =] Good way to get around the "play as administrator" thing on Vista (like my dad's laptop).
When you wanna put a new version of the game, it would overwrite the shortcut on the desktop I think, so rename it to something else, like put the version number at the end of it. Same for when you install another version: add the version number to the end.
Of course, when it comes to anything before Phase 3, you don't need to move the whole folder. TEF3 gets its own folder with the 3 on the end, while Phases 1 and 2 get a folder with no number at the end.
I only wanted to do it if I had better luck with pictos on 3.20 but I dont so I'm not gonna do the two TEF versions anymore.

DraakxMitra C:
3.20 certainly has better
I think that 3.21 only works its best when the backup server is on...buttt you have had luck in the past
so I dont know
I guess just try
as for two versions on one machine, I really dont know again xD
if they are on separate drives then I dont think it should be too much of a problem

Gah it's a Sluggs question isnt it? XD
WAIT now 29 minutes to go o_o
I'll wait for these Screenshots to copy over...then try putting another TEF on the D drive and see what happens.
