Yeah. With at times up to 60 players on at one time and the land actually not all that big we can't lay claim. Some people in roleplays "claim" a land, defend it from other players who know and are happy to play along for RP's sake. But to just up and claim and defend it even from non-roleplaying characters, like me, is just silly. Other deer will probably just laugh and get in your space on purpose. I won't because I'm friendly with everyone. But I know of a few who might.

Anyone can say any location is their home....like how my deer favors the blueberry bowl. However, that does not mean that it is solely mine and I can defend it. Everyone is welcome everywhere. The whole forest is our home. We are a community living together like deer do in the wild. If you want to be alone then go be alone. Defending a spot will ensure you have company all the time.

Why can their character not claim a tree exactly? A lot of deer claim land/some tree and they protect it. Yeah, not much you can do if a certain deer doesn't want to leave, but you can't really stop someone or their character from trying to claim an area either.

A game without rules, really.

Anyways that looks like one of Gustiro's characters(Correct me if I am wrong) and I'm pretty sure they would have had her react ICly had they been paying attention. Not like it's a new player(Though I can personally say I'm not all that against having my characters attack new players/nameless deer/whatever either).

I've been reading this and I feel sort of in the middle of the arguments. Yes it is rude to just go and fight but Ive run into it and for me it gives a sort of "reality" to the game. Besides it isn't like they are on all the time so you wont encounter it every time you play. So I think that its fine if they claim it. The forest is meant to be fun. If their character is territorial then ok. As a rabbit I can't go anywhere near Ramsus without being chased and I do each time but its fun for me. (not to mention he doesn't let up which is hilarious) I dont pre plan that either.

I do not want to start an argument but for the sake of the peace of TEF please we should stop this argument here. Let it rest. They are doing nothing wrong. Also, no one will really "listen" to this claim. Also for those who don't want to be bothered by it then they should just leave him alone in game. There is plenty of forest to run around in. If you want to be in his area then go ahead and sit there and ignore the agitation the character gives. And again, they wont be on all the time so this should not even be an issue.

I understand, I really do. But there are also other ways to have personal space. If my spot becomes too crowded then I just simply move to another. It also has nothing to do with what race we are. We're all equal here. But also, there are people who play who don't come here to the community chat. They won't understand why you defend and may take it personally. They may also take it as a joke. If you don't claim a specific spot then you have the whole woods to hide in.

I would have seen more of a problem if someone just romped around saying "The forest is mine I am king" and tried to beat up others. If it is one area around a tree then it should be no problem XD
