Aw... I agree the angle is brilliant.. and the pose, with the legs wrapped around himself.. really captures the lonely feeling. In itself the picture is quite beautiful! I only wish it wasn't so sad, although sad things are also important.
gurgelin: Oh, no, you didn't make light of it at all! ♥ Thank you, that is incredibly sweet. ;u; *cry*
Zyzzy: Thank you as well. <3 I really hope Anjali gets to play with Zyzzy soon; I just haven't had much time to be in-Forest at all as of late. But I'll keep a sharp eye out for your pictogram.
It's funny, I didn't originally intend for it to be a sad picture. I like drawing resting characters; I find it rather soothing to do so. I guess it turned out a mix of peaceful and sad, in the end...but more peaceful than sad, now.
When I had read the title I actually thought of Eyestrain's "Island".
I really love the face and colors here. And that tail is so adorable, I love it.
I also love the concept of everyone's additions. It is kind of symbolic for how the forest can be sometimes. Deer one knows and even strangers coming to sit with a lone deer and falling asleep beside them. Reading through the comments and finding the add ons made me really smile.
Shanol, eyestrain: Truly, thank you. Your additions make me smile, and I'm especially grateful for that right now. ♥
Thank you too, Kaoori and PrairieWolf. I agree, I really like that aspect of the Forest...the way you can be silently present with another person—no matter how well you know them, or how far away they are physically—though your deer.
the angle of this is very

eyestrain: Thank you ♥ ; I think it's good to connect with sad and difficult things as well as happy things, sometimes. Or at least, it's natural to.
Aw... I agree the angle is
I hope you don't take offense

That is gorgeous, Anjali. I
And d'awwww to gurgelin's addition. He's never met Zyzzy, and I can't draw, otherwise I'd have him jump in on the snoogle-fest xD
