Splinters pushed into the stag with her hooves, her bead scattering everwhere. The stag pushed back, and splinters caught off balance, and feel backwards onto the rock. A steep drop lay behind the edge.

The stag through her off. Splinters reared, but the stag rammed into her stomache. It knocked the air out of her, and knocked her backwards. She stumbled...and fell from the edge. CRACK

Splinters lay there. Blood dripped from her mouth. The crack, was the tine snapping inside of her.

Splinters opened her eyes slightley. she didn't move.

Splinter's stood up weakley. The tine in her neck shattered, and particles from it were falling from her neck. She hopped onto the rock towards the stag. " YOU...Touched..My...love! " She growled, standing in front of the stag. It stood in front of the bzd like a guardian.

Splinters shook her head, and lunged at the stag. The stag dodged, causing her ot lurch forward and fall to her stomache.

The stag rammed at maria, pushing her towards the edge of the rock.

The stag whipped around, looking for maria behind him. Splinters slowely stood again, and turned to face him again. A wild rage in her eyes, she wanted to collapse, but she just snapped at the stag with her fangs.

Splinters pushed the stag over, not even hearing maria. YOU...KILLED MY FAMILY?! She blurted. Her insanity crept up on her and sank its fangs right into her thick skin. Confused, she started accusing the scared stag of things, it didnt even know of.

The stag pushed her off again, it ran off, splinters following. She sped up little by little, determined to catch the stag. Thud...THump...BLEAAAT...

Splinters tackled the stag, sinking her red front fangs into his neck.

This knocked the air out of him. He collapsed. Splinters stood back, against a tree.

" Come...maria.. " She said, running towards the ruins.

Splinters sat in her little secret hiding place inside the broken builidng of the ruins. A tree stand in front of it so you had to squeeze through to get inside.

Splinters sat down in the dirt. " This...is my favorite place..i come here to escape from all the weirdness this strange world has...i dont even know why im here...i prey off the happyness of others, im jealous about how greatful...happy...they are to live here...how used to it they are! " She told maria, her wounds still bleeding, but not too badley. She had pretty much bled out all she could.

" Because i have nothing to live for. Here, everything is a maze.....i try to make it through, everyone else is...but...im lost..alone...im the only one left not ot make it through.. " She murmered.

" Maria...your the only one...i have ever opened up to. You mean alot to me..but...im so confused! What are we? Were are we? who are the gods? Why is this place endless?! " She asked, tears welling in her eyes.

She sucked in the tears. " Maria...when i protected you back there...all my precious beads..my life's work...they were all scattered..lost...but i still...have you.. " She said, a smiled creeping at her mouth.

splinters shook her head sadley. " We cant..they..i lied...i didnt find them at the playground..they..are my life..i was born with them...losing them makes me weak.. " She said.

Splinters shook her head. " We cant aren't you listening?! The bead died! My fur..its so long because i cannot cut it! If i did i would kill myself! My fur lives just as i do and so did those beads! " Shes said, picking herself up from the dirt and running out.

Splinter's ears dropped, the beads on her ear tufts weighing them down.

She turned her head to nuzzle maria. " Maria....? " She asked.

Splinters hesitated. I...love you.. She murmered. Splinter looked at her with sympathetic eyes.

Splinters lowered her head. " I...you dont...i know you dont..but..i meant..i truly..more than a friend.. She stuttered.

Splinters was afraid to look her in the eyes, so she was staring at the snow covered ground. " Yes..maria..i meant that. " She said, lifting her head.
