An idea for a story series

Heya peeps, I was really inspired by part of Ted Andrew's Animal Speak book. There was a part where the writer tells a story that involves the reader - they fall asleep and go to an imaginary world where they meet their spirit animal.

Well, I had an idea based on this - several short stories where you, the reader, experience a similar dream. Each story would be a little different, but I would consider it to be the same 'world'.

Perhaps one time you find yourself in a snow-filled forest. Maybe you go to a hidden beach another time. Maybe there is a secret meadow.

Each story would also feature someone very close to you - your Endless Forest deer. Sometimes your deer will ask you a question. Other times maybe there is danger nearby. The ideas are endless.

I was thinking about maybe writing a story once every couple of days or so, or maybe once a week. I'm always open for ideas and suggestions, but I wanted to see what you guys thought before I started this project. I haven't come up with a name, but I've had a few ideas.

First attempt here. I have "Return to Nature" as a tentative title.

So any ideas for a title for

So any ideas for a title for this series? Also I wasn't too sure how I was going to name each story, or if they where just going to be more vague titles, "story III", "story 4", and so on. I thought that would be good because it would make it more of a surprise what the story was about, but in the same respect I do kind of think they're better being named.

I'm horrible with titles, but

I'm horrible with titles, but I like the idea of un-named sections because it would be nicer than just "This story is about ____".

I'm with Terabetha on that.

I'm with Terabetha on that. I'm also awful with coming up with titles because I never plan my stuff out xD
I agree that it would cause a nice surprise to name them something vague. Usually it's best to write it out and decide on a title last. You never know how much something will change as you write.

Maybe in a little bit I'll write an example (or maybe the first story) so you can see how I plan to set it up. Eye

This sounds like a fabulous

This sounds like a fabulous idea! I think it is interesting to consider our deer as separate entities from ourselves, and rather then just a character, but an actual side of ourselves that we only briefly come into contact with.

As for titles...When I write things I usually wait until the story is finished to see if anything stands out to me while writing that would make sense as a title. I am one who prefers that things are titled, as the title for me says much about the work, even if it is vague!
