I personally don't think you should change it. But if you're bothered, then go for it. It's hard to make a new character that doesn't resemble something already existent. In some way, at least.
Heh, yeah. The differences between the two are extensive. He has no tail, no fur, is just a silhouette. His shape can be amorphous etc. and all that lovely jazz but, much as I like the design, I'd rather not appear to be copying anyone's character. =/ I'll fiddle with him for a bit longer...maybe. Knowing me I'll get annoyed and give up. xD
