Um ok I think I'll do human but not in the underground.
Sierra stops by a cafe she orders hot chocolate and receives"Good day madam"She nods and smilles as the man gives her the beverage and a piece of chocolate."On the house"he said winking at her .She makes her way to the back and sits in a comfortable chair.
White trails along a ground of cold grey pavement, as you ascend the plain white material, a cascade of wavy brown locks begins, and the white gives way to pale skin, like that of the people who live far north. Going up further, soft lips, ones that would mold their shape to someone kissing them appear, then a slender nose, and then to a beautiful feature. Shining green eyes, ones that radiate a certain strength and vulnerability.
Kahlan Lerrielle is a beautiful woman on the whole. Well proportioned and slender, she is the kind of person that should she wish it, men would date with no problem, but yet, as she wanders into the cafe, as she does every morning, she is alone. Sometimes, you can observe her with a very attractive blonde man, but you know that that's her brother, and even if it wasn't, you know that from the gossip of the people behind the counter, he's very gay, with as many lovers as he desires, which is a lot.
People look at her as she passes, in her long white dress she looks like a bride, but yet, from looking at her you can tell she isn't. Her dress is too plain even for the most modest of brides, there is absolutely nothing. The only other colour is the little straps at the top which are for the adujstment of it's tightness, and they are simple black. The entire dress radiates understated yet elegant. It's a quality that she as a person seems to posses.
She walks slowly to the counter, with a gentle click, clack of heels hidden underneath that flowing dress, and she politely orders a tea with milk and sugar, that the woman is happy to give her. She pays a little bit more than she needs to, handing the money with a smile and "keep the change." She knows that the woman sometimes struggles with money, and without effort she can spare some of her own. She sits at her table, by the window, which is always empty. She thinks that the counter woman moves people from it, but she couldn't say for certain, and she holds her tea cup, and just looks out of the window.
Sierra noticed the new woman who entered the cafe. Her beauty matched hers.In a sense she felt a bit of jealousy. However, this girl paid no mind to the men.She sighed and sipped her drink peacefully.
She heard a small sigh escape the girl nearby her, and so distracted from her people-watching, she turned to look at her. She was equally as beautiful, perhaps a little more so, since from what Kahlan could tell, she was making an effort to look more beautiful. Kahlan guessed that unlike her, she really wanted someone to date. It was a desire she could understand, since Kylar wanted someone like that.
Kylar was always telling her, that when the right man came along, all of those flings he had, his one night stands, would simply end. She had noticced that they had during the time that he had been with Mikhail, but had since returned to their former glory after his heart had been broken by the man. She could see that Kylar still thought about that from time to time, in a flicker of sadness in his eyes, or a gesture that he would do that showed he was thinking about something.
Being from the west of Scotland, Kahlan was someone who would start up a conversation with a random stranger without a thought. She had never seen it happen elsewhere, but she had noted that here in this town, most people would keep a conversation going should she start it. It didn't seem that usually they were just being polite as well, they seemed to actually enjoy speaking to her.
"Don't worry, I'm sure someone'll come along for you soon," She said with a chuckle. Her voice flowed off her tongue. The Scottish in her accent was enough to flow it, without it speeding up so much that it could turn into one word like some people she knew from Glasgow. It also changed the way she said 'I', which for most people would rhyme with eye, with her it sounded more like ah. There were other pronounciation differences, so it was quite obvious that she was from Scotland, and possessed the Glaswegian accent.
Her eyes snapped opened when she heard the girl adressing her."Excuse me whats did you say"she asks putting her cup down. Her voice was heated with anger in it.
She wasn't used to an angry reply, so at first her face went to taken aback, and then to a more apologetic expression. She waited for a second so she didn't sound too surprised when she gave her answer, and did actually sound like she was meaning what she said, which she indeed mean. "I'm sorry to have offended you," She said.
After a few more seconds she thought that it was only polite for her to explain what she had done, and show that she hadn't intended the offence that had obviously been taken. "I just thought maybe, you look so pretty, that you were hoping a man would come for you..." She explained apologetically, like it was important for her to be forgiven for the anger she had caused.
Kahlan was someone that when she offended you, unless she had a really good reason, would try to make it up to you, since it didn't sit right with her to leave someone angry. She felt that it was bad manners to part on bad terms unless it was avoidable. She had learned that lesson from leaving her parents without a good bye and then never speaking to them again. Now it was too late to fix that.
Plus, quite often, if you offended someone, it would come back to bite you in the ass. She was hoping to avoid the karmic retribution, since she hadn't actually meant to cause offense in the other girl. She may never see the woman again, and nothing might have happened, but then, she could be an important person and then she could deny Kahlan something that she may need or want. Not that that was likely since most often, she was content to simply go about her business. Come into the cafe in the mornings, go into work in an antique shop with her elderly boss, and then head on home to read, or head into the forest, and become a deer, or simply wander around town to pass the time.
She wasn't sure what she was to say to that, she looked towards the window again, tea in hand, and looked at the people walking past. A sadness had descended upon her a little, and that accentuated her beauty. It was a beauty that was meant to be more solemn. She was not of the bright and cheery beauty.
If you were to describe her in terms of colour, she would be a dark blue with streaks of violet mixed with black. A delicate mix of colours to make the colours of the night sky as the suns final rays have just disappeared behind the horizon, but it still illuminates the colours just near the horizon. A little bit of dark red would have outlined her.
Her gaze became more blank as she looked out, and the people began to just float by her as time moved on. Her tea steadily ascended and descended periodically.
Sierra studied the girl for a moment and sighed"Sorry it was a tough day at practice "sh explained."You were just trying to help"she offered as an excuse
