One piece of poetry, one set of lyrics.
I Know Where The Nightmares Are
I don't know what they do behind the walls
Or how they speak inside the dancing halls
Where fairytales begin in crystal balls
But I know where the nightmares are.
I know where the nightmares are
I know what you fear the most
I know where the nightmares are
I know what you love and loathe
I know where they are although I'm not sure they know me
I don't know if they know I know just where they could be
I know that they hate the sun but love the turquoise sea
I know they can't climb or fly yet nest amongst the trees
Nightmares are only frightened dogs
Hounds born to create fear.
Lyrical Improvisation
[ written whilst listening to a friend's musical composition; lyrics ]
There's a street, my love there's a place
There's a party I can't quite remember your face
Well I couldn't tell if you would want me to stay
When I left your flat I ended up in the fray
What's in a good old name? Juliet she say
'Romeo, do me the same', and Mercutio
He killed Tybalt dead, and who's to blame?
Mama darlin' take me to bed, there's a feelin'
And it gets right into my head, no decievin'
I've been thinkin' 'bout what you said, all alone and I
Well I'm tired of waiting for you - well, well!
Where are all the lonely people?
Where's my old Venetian face?
Bring down the church and burn the steeple
God never left me a trace of existence - well well!
