Tropa drank a little water
She looked to the side, shaking away the water dripping off her chin. She saw a little golden fawn play around with a brown, striped deer. Faytha and Clock, playing once again. It was a few minutes before Clock made a painfully long goodbye, then left. Faytha sighed loudly, and came over to the Pond. "Tropa, why does Clock always have to be somewhere?"
Tropa looked over to where Clock was heading. She shrugged, "Who knows... He's got a little to think about, so I don't blame him if he wants to wander. You'll just have to wait for your Dad to come by. Unless you had another friend to play with..." She mumbled the last part. In truth, Faytha hadn't many friends outside family. Tropa turned her weary light green eyes around the area, wondering if anyone familiar was there.
---
He watched his breath fog in
He shook off the starting memories before they depressed him again, the rush from attending the recent Abiogenesis helping to keep them back. It was the only thing keeping him in higher spirits. He'd even avoided fleeing from most of the deer who approached him today.
Finally, he reached his destination - the Pond. There were a few other deer there, and though he had been feeling more social since the Abio, he still avoided approaching them, sticking to the side, away from them, to quench his thirst. He wouldn't mind them noticing him, though.
[I will figure out how to bring in Spadey soon. XD]

The Dragonfly Deer's Biography
((Kinsha again? you must
A familiar scent caught Tropa's attention. She looked over, not paying attention to Faytha's babbling, finding a certain dark colored stag not too far away. Him again? She seemed to run into him every once in a while. She noticed how wet his fur was. Humph, at least he had fur. Snow wasn't very fun with frog skin. She finally noticed her hair was dripping as well, and shook it around to dry it. Ugh, this was no fun at all. Tropa looked over at Kinsha again, nodding a greeting to him before going back to Faytha, who was still babbling.
---
[Sorry, I'm kinda stuck on
So he'd been noticed by Tropa. Kinsha nodded back his own greeting, but stayed where he was. She seemed preoccupied with the fawn nearby, who seemed to be just a little older than his cousin's children.
He blinked to himself, the thought of having cousins after thinking he'd had no family for years still feeling bizarre. Nodding to the doe again, this time in farewell, he took off for the Crying Idol, feeling like "bothering" his uncle if he was there.
As he got closer to the Idol, he noticed a pale-colored fawn with curled-forward kirin antlers growing in on his head watching the waterfalls flow forth. Spade. The older of Magnet's twins. ...frankly, he had no idea what to call their relation. What did one call their cousin's kids??
The fawn turned at hearing his approach, eyes wide in nervousness for a moment before going back to normal at seeing it wasn't a deer he didn't know. He smiled. "Hey Uncle Kin! Isn't it cool how the water never stops? I wonder where it all comes from, and how come the pond never overflows..." He looked at the statue in wonder again.
Kinsha couldn't help the chuckle. "Probably the Twin Gods' doing." He shook off more melted snow, wondering why Spade didn't seem bothered by it. A glance showed no other deer wearing the Secretary Bird pelt, nor the red pelt of the Crying Idol. He guessed Radeon was taking a run or something.
"I'm gonna head to the pond now."
The dark stag could read the fawn's plans right off his face. "'Fraid the dragonflies aren't over there today."
A disappointed sigh. "Ah, man. Why do they always have to leave when the weather changes?"
"Self-preservation, I'd imagine..."
Blink. "What's..?"
The ninja-deer shook his head. "Don't worry about it." Sometimes he forgot to simplify his words.
Another blink. "Ok. ...think I'll go over there anyway and run around the pond..."
Now Kinsha blinked. "If you want to." There really wasn't much else he could say in response.
Spade nodded to himself, as if to confirm his plans. "Ok." He turned to to go, shouting a "Seeya, Uncle Kin!" as he ran off.
The ninja blinked again, not getting a chance to respond. He shook his head to himself, turning to start walking back to the Ruins.
Spade passed the shallow water, not stopping at seeing a green-colored doe and another fawn there. Instead, he continued running, making his way around the pond as planned. Maybe he'd stop at the Old Oak. He liked the sound it made.
[Gah. I couldn't get this to stop sooner. X.x Well, there ya go. Not just the ninja in.]

The Dragonfly Deer's Biography
(LOL way to play it out XD
Faytha looked over to the dark stag, tilting her head. She had seen him before. What was his name again? And where and when did she see him? Oh no, not again, she had forgotten completely, but he was still familiar. She almost bounced on over to him before he left. Her hazel eyes drifted over to where he was headed, and noticed a pale fawn not too far away.
Oh oh oh... What was his name? She knew, it was on the tip of her tongue. Oh gosh, what was his name? She saw him trot over to the Pond and start running around it. Pale fawn, curled antlers... gray eyes? Oh! It was Spade! Faytha started to run after him slowly, "HEY SPAAAAAAADE! HIIIIIIIIIIIII! WHATCHA RUNNIN FOR??" She shouted, hoping he would stop to play with her.
Tropa smiled, going into the deep end to keep a little warm. She could still keep an eye on them from down there anyway.

[This is the problem when I
Spade skidded to a stop, wondering who was calling him. Turning, he spied a golden fawn running up to him. Faytha, if he remembered right.
He frowned at her question. "Training myself," he answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world. He wondered what she wanted.

Tropa smiled and listened patiently to Serpentine, nodding slightly ever once in a while. "Well, I guess we're doing the right thing then... This is the brightest sunbeam at the Pond..." She snuggled closer to Serpentine, sighing at the feeling of his warmth. "Hmm... Never occurred to me before. I used to stay away from there because the streams were so strong... Well, you know, I was smaller back then. Although some of the tougher frogs tried to push me into going over there. Anyway, maybe you should try digging." She laughed, realizing that she was rambling too. She leaned her face against his strong neck. "Me? Ahh, nothing much. I've been watching Faytha, although Clock's been doing most of the work, but he left so... I think she found a new distraction. I'm watching her until her father comes back." She looked around slightly, figuring Skokey would come along any minute, not that Faytha wasn't too hard to spot.

Serpantine nodded. "Yeah. This is also the warmest place around the Pond right now." He sighed contently and let the sun warm him a little more. He grinned underneath his mask. "Hmmm. I'll help you keep an eye on her if you need help."

Gray eyes blinked at her exuberance. "So I can be strong like my parents..." Spade answered her question simply. He wasn't sure what else he should say, and started glancing around, watching the few snowflakes that were still falling. It seemed to be dying down, reduced to flurries at the moment. Good. Maybe that meant the dragonflies would return soon.
[You guys mentioned a sunny patch, so I thought I'd put in an explanation for that considering it was snowing in this RP before. XD]

When she finally stopped herself, she was surprised Spade was still listening. She giggled, "Oh, sorry! I guess I babbled again."

Faytha nodded happily, "Yeah, besides, running gets you tired. Wait, weren't you running before? Yeah, you were training right? Does running really make you that much stronger? If it does, maybe I should try too!" She started constantly shifting her weight from one side to another, in a simplified dance of a sort. She was getting excited, Spade's increasing speed in speech was making her speak faster as well.

Kinsha had finally reached the Ruins. No one was there for once, which he was alright with. As he was still sort of searching for his uncle - though it wasn't urgent; it was more of a spur of the moment decision - he leapt from one crumbling stone wall to the next, reaching his moss-covered sleeping spot atop the Ruins. It would be much easier to see anyone coming from here.
[Can't forget Kin. ]

Tropa smiled sweetly, watching the moth flutter about. She tried catching it in her mouth a few times before it finally landed on Serpentine's shoulder. She quickly snatched it and chewed for a moment. She let out a sigh, as if it was the best thing in the world. Tropa leaned against Serpentine again, kissing him on the cheek of his mask, "Thanks so much... It was the best I've had all day." She smiled at him, her light green eyes staring up at his.

They sat together for a few more minutes, Tropa watched the two fawns on the other side of the bank. She looked around. The fish were still swimming around. There were no frogs or dragonflies. It was almost eery how quiet the Pond was without the constant buzzing and croaking. She looked over to the side, spotting the bridge, then followed the stream down the Crying Idol in the distance. She lifted her head off Serpentine for a moment, "Why don't we go to the Crying Idol?"
((pff yeah, i know >< after a while it all runs dry XD do you have Serps ref done yet? im just wondering, i kinda wanna get this piece done, i only have like... a day and a half left of freedom before school XD))

But then she stopped, and asked about running. Still taken aback by the random display of hyperness, he answered in an unsure tone. "Uhh...I guess...." He raised a brow at her stance, wondering what she was doing.

Faytha opened her mouth wide
Tropa looked over to see the two fawns bounding away, shrugging and continuing over to the Idol. "So... How far have you gotten on this quest to find the answer to the Idol?" She looked over to him, grinning, the poppies starting to thicken the farther they went.

"Hey! Wait a sec!" He raced after her. "You got a head start!" Seeing she had gotten a good lead, he put on an extra burst of speed, glad he was used to running so much.
Strange, this competitive feeling. He'd never been challenged before.
He kinda liked it, he thought to himself as he finally caught up.

Hoofbeats?
Kinsha looked around, trying to find the source of that rhythm. It was more in the lightweight range, so he assumed fawn.
The ninja cocked his head.
Correction. Two fawns. Heading right this way.
He blinked.
Were they coming from the direction he'd arrived from?
He glanced back towards the direction of the Pond, where he could make out the huge form of the Old Oak in the distance. (Thank you higher vantage point..)
...and the forms of a gold fawn being caught up to by a pale fawn.
Another blink. What the heck?
Spade was running with another fawn? And...
He squinted to make out who the other fawn was...
...it wasn't Devi??
Now that right there was a shocker.
