...when Metis is angry. (I'm slowly working out all the facial expressions and interactions with the feathers on her body. It's a lot of fun!)
Long story short, me and my mate got into a game of 'what if' for our deer characters just to flesh out the characters a bit, likes, dislikes, and all that. Well, one I stumbled upon was Metis really dislikes dogs. Really freaking dislikes them. Might stem from fear of coyotes, but in any event...
I don't know where or how they would encounter a chihuahua. Unless they were grazing in suburbia, and decided to graze azaleas in the wrong backyard. Delton (my mate's stag character) reacts with poise and dignity. Metis... comes unglued. And displays what she looks like when really defensive, angry, or upset. I suppose at some point an emotion sheet might be something fun I could draw...
(A little note in here, since someone brought it up that it might be offensive to chihuahua owners. I've known many chihuahuas. Some were very sweet, perfect little dogs whom were very well behaved, and a delight to be around - which is saying a lot since I'm not much of a dog person. But others were... well. The epitome of the attitude expressed by Delton. I'm generally of the opinion that it's the owner that makes a dog great or awful. No flames, please!)
Had a good giggle from this.
Aww, no need to worry about
This is an awesome piece. It makes me really happy to see, and I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe the expression, and the idea of a birddeer actually reacting like a bird. ♥ I encourage the emotion sheet.
Also...the way Delton's rear leg is poised...I'm totally waiting for him to nonchalantly lash out and send the little dog flying.
You know. v_v; Gently.
D'awww, thanks! Delton is
More bird behaviors are coming! I'm having an awful lot of fun adding in owl quirks. I don't think Delton will be thrilled with Metis trying to feed him mice, however...
