honestly really nervous

I've been roleplaying most of my life so I'm pretty comfortable with it, but I still feel like I don't really know what I'm doing here and like I'm not going to fit in. I haven't really fit into any RP community before and I just don't think my characters are good enough compared to everyone else's, and I also feel like I'm probably annoying people in-game even though I mostly keep to myself and try to pay attention to other deers' body language. What can I do to improve?

Welcome to TEF! Don't worry, everyone is really friendly here. I'm not great at in-game RP myself but here are some tips:
- Use the mouse to move around, not arrow keys.
- Be aware of who is around you.
- Move your deer's head a lot. (right mouse button)
- Don't forget hotkeys, they're so useful - f1, f6, etc.

That's most of what I know.

Thanks for the tips!

? Using the keyboard to move around is much more easier than using the mouse. In fact I'd suggest using W, S, A, and D keys to move around. And if you hold down shift while pressing either the 'up' arrow or W key, it makes your deer run.

Not sure if you are already aware, but you can set your hotkeys to different body language buttons by hovering your mouse over the button (let's say, the dance button) and pressing a hotkey (like f2 or something). You can set all the other hotkeys to body language you use most, so you don't have to always click for them when interacting with others. All the hotkeys work except for f10, I believe.

You have plenty of time to develop your character, so don't be intimidated!

Yeah I was kind of wondering about that tip, I've been using the WASD keys so far... Thanks for the advice.

I always thought using the mouse help you move more smoothly. Sorry for that, I was probably wrong! I find the WASD keys easier too tbh.

And I forgot one thing - pressing 'c' turns your deers head toward the camera.
