Hello all Smiling Haven't been on here for a LONG time. Was just doing some 5-minute doodles the other day and this is one I did of a deer (reminded me of TEF, hence why I am back) with no hooves. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to give me some feedback on it - anatomy, proportions etc. This drawing isn't very dynamic I know but I want to see what you lovely talented people have to say/advise/suggest etc. Cheers Laughing out loud

Ugh just realised photo-quality is terrible and lines cannot be seen clearly. Will try to scan later.

I'm certainly not one of

I'm certainly not one of those talented folks, but I might be able to offer some advice.

That's impressive for that quick of a doodle! I can't even pick up my pencil in that amount of time xD
Deers' bodies are very odd things so it's always a good idea to use a reference when you draw--with that being said, this picture that I'll be referring to isn't the perfect reference going off what you're already drawn.

The shoulders of yours look a little rounded. To my knowledge (which isn't a lot lol ), most of the time they're quite smooth or just plain flat. As for the neck, I would suggest playing around with it. Try making it longer, or thinner, or even thicker!
The ears seem like they're a size too small for your lovely deer here. They need those big ol' suckers so they can hear anything like a wolf or a mountain lion that has a venison craving.

Hopefully that helps.. xD Like I said, I'm not super knowledgeable.

FishBiscuit - thank you very

FishBiscuit - thank you very much for your suggestions Smiling they've been really helpful. Yes I think the neck definitely needs some work, possibly even angle-wise aswell as the head shape/size etc. Thank you again Smiling
