Havin' fun.

Today I met up with the lovely deer I made friends with a few days ago. I don't know who he or she is, but ... a great companion and we have lots of fun. Today we took a nap in the mushroom circle, when I woke up, I turned ... in to a bat, hehe. Appearently ... didn't like that, so he turned me in to a bird. Haha! ^^ Then we splitted up for the day. (:

And also, i'm sorry if i'm being a pain, but I've got another question to y'all! xD When you create a deer, that deer can never die right? Cause someone said that their deer had "retired". I got scared to death, cause I don't wan't my Nala to ever die! Sad So anybody who can tell me? You can have the same deer in the forest foreeeever and ever right? Sticking out tongue

Yup, you keep your deer as long as you want. And even if you decide to stop playing, your deer will still outlive you. ;P

Okej, sorry i'm buggin' you, but one last question! xD When your a grown up deer, doe or stag, does the pelt you choose stay on permanently? And what is "spelldata"? Sticking out tongue

Yes, it stays on until you

Yes, it stays on until you get cast with another spell, or if you fall into the pond, or log off. If another spell is cast over top of the one you like, you can sneeze the current one off and it will go back to the one underneath. Also, Spelldata is the name of the file that keeps your current set. You can backup your spelldata, meaning you can make a copy of it and save it in case you accidentally fall into the pond and want your set back.

Okey, and how do I save a set to my spelldata?

First, go to My

First, go to My Computer>Program Files>Tale of Tales>The Endless Forest 3>(if you have Vista, click Compatibility Files now) userdata. There, you will see two files, one called Preferences.cgr and one called Spelldata.cgr. The Spelldata.cgr file contains the set you are wearing currently. Right click it and copy it. Then, go to either your Desktop or My Documents, or some other place you can remember easily. Make a new folder, and name it with a quick description of the set (for example, "Real deer set" or something). Open the folder and paste the Spelldata.cgr file, and you've successfully saved your spelldata.

Now, if you want to use it, lets say your playing TEF and you fall into the pond and lose everything. Close TEF, go to the new folder on your Desktop or wherever with the saved Spelldata, copy it, and go back to My Computer>Program Files>Tale of Tales>The Endless Forest 3>userdata. Delete the Spelldata.cgr that is already there (it now contains the normal stag set, so you don't want it anymore) and paste the new Spelldata.cgr. When you reopen TEF, you should have your set back.

Some things to remember:
1. Don't rename the Spelldata.cgr file, just put it in a folder and name the folder
2. You may need to empty your recycle bin after deleting your spelldata and before opening TEF.
3. You can always get your set back the old-fashioned way. Eye
