The debate about mates was mostly confined to the boards, I don't think anyone fought in the game about it. However there were instances of players taking their gender role far too seriously, like ridiculously overprotective stags and meek helpless females. Also some couples would only spend time with each other and completely ignore their other friends, which obviously sparked jealousy among other players.

I don't know if you want to go into the drama surrounding Run and Sluggs, but some of the events that took place were soap opera worthy. :/

The newest sets came in during Mardi Gras, and at that time Halloween sets were also taken out, so there have been debates about sending out Halloween spelldata because now nobody is supposed to get that stuff until next October.

Well, I'll give you Run info.

Run was extremely sweet. Although she cared very much for her friends, Sluggs was always in her heart. She was never frail and always stood up for herself in the forest. Her set consisted of the doe antlers, magpie pelt, and real deer mask; a bold and beautiful choice.

Vipin is the calm one out of the pair. He has the appearance of that of a shy bird, but he is far more likely to come up and nuzzle your deer rather than flee at the sight of them. He’s painstakingly a perfectionist and tries his hardest to help deer get their exact, wanted sets. He’s extremely kind and helpful, but he often feels as if he is shunned from a group and wanders off.

He adores his mate, GoldenWinged, so if she suddenly comes on and you’re playing with him don’t be surprised to see him bolt towards her. Putting that aside, he loves all his friends equally, preferably the ones that buttonmash majorly. He sometimes presses a wrong emote, so don’t get angry at him for his human’s faults.

However, there are times when he is negative and prefers to be alone. These are the times when he is frustrated that he has not seen a mini Abio for a long time, no weather changes, or his human’s paranoia. If this happens, Vipin goes off to the Ruins. If those are occupied, he goes to the Oak, then to the bridge, and so forth. He /will/ push you away and ignore you, so be warned.

In general, this stag is helpful, kind, and there when he is needed most.

Hey, I have some very interesting news regarding Run. I was just going through old posts to see what I could find out about her personality, and I saw on this thread she was a member of Wajas, she was account #67463. So I went to her profile page, and found a notification that she had switched accounts to #67709. And on that account, you can see that the last time she logged in was today! Very curious!

edit: Interesting, later in the same thread she posts her email address, a google search on it shows that this email has also been registered in another forum on July 3rd of this year. It is registered under the name "Perplex" (purportedly Run's sister on the TEF forums.) This is getting weird!

Maybe, although it seems very strange to me. I've yet to find two "siblings" in this community who shared personal accounts like that and didn't turn out to be the same person.

I am pretty sure it was deleted when the 'Life' forum was created. I don't think it will be much help analyzing their writing (since English was not their native language) but here are the posting histories of Perplex and Run if you wanted to do anything with that.

Maybe we should wait until you get a response from that Wajas account, to see whether or not it was sold. As for the Perplex on the other forum, I'm not sure what to do about that because I can't read the language. =p Of course, that doesn't stop any curious players from stumbling onto this thread, but perhaps they will be able to find more information too.

It seems that Perplex confirms in this post that she and Run one and the same?

Translating that other forum, I can see that the date format is different than what I thought, so it was actually the 7th of March the account was registered and not the 3rd of July. Looks like it was abandoned so no point doing anything there, I guess. Regardless, it still ties that email address to Perplex.

It seems a few months ago I asked Perplex herself if she and Run were the same person. Apparently she would take over that character during the periods her sister abandoned it... I don't have a timeline of that. Her post was from February, so it is possible they could have switched ownership again between then and April, but Run and Sluggs were mates since December, or maybe even earlier, so it seems weird that she would leave the account then.

edit: I could have sworn Sluggs mentioned them being together since 2007 but the earliest reference I can find is February. Would this mean that Run was under Perplex's ownership when she and Sluggs first met at all?

And also, the famous "Glitch stag". Sluggs. Who has found sooo many glitches, and sparked a few debates over the use of them...

Um... that's it I think... Unless you want to include people who went AWOL, like Bonnan, Rum and Stars, Ocelo etc etc.
