Miriam's Halloween didn't start off too bad. Miriam had woken up, said her morning prayers to the Abogenesis at the two statues and gone off, roaming the Forest. First she saw big candles. Then she saw small candles. Then she saw big candles again (small world ^^). But she was most amazed when she saw the red lake. She tasted a bit of the red water with the tip of her tongue, out of curiosity. It didn't taste too bad.
Miriam went on her morning run near the Oak, to stretch her legs and hopefully find some new friends. Bad luck, no-one was about. Brr ! It was cold, so she sheltered herself inside the Oak. She eventually drifted off into a peaceful sleep...
Miriam was woken with a start. A bright light flashed in her eyes and she felt her body changing. A friendly deer had given her an Orca pelt ! She tried to thank her donor but the deer was already gone. Vanished, almost.
She looked around and realised that the sky was already darkening. Noise came to Miriam's ears. In no time she was racing toward the sounds. As she rushed through the plains, she saw big mushrooms here and there, and excitement rose higher in her body.
Miriam's eyes widened as she saw the enormous gathering of deer and fawns before her.
She smiled and joined the croud, without a worry in the world.
She wandered from group to group, just as excited as when she arrived. She danced with srangers (ignoring what her mother had taught her), made new friends, saw fireworks for the first time...
R e a d M o r e . . .
Despite the cold and the mist, everything was going wonderfully. Up until the moment she found herself racing one of her fawn friends. They had been walking together, in front of the group, when the other fawn suddenly called out 'I'll race you !' and sprinted ahead. Miriam followed, and she slightly overtook the other fawn. They were side by side, when suddenly she tripped on a stone and went flying. Miriam opened her eyes to nothingness. Everything was white, and she couldn't see ten centimetres in front of her. She called out to her friends until her throat went raw, but no-one answered her pleas. She tried to make out where she was, but tripped over her own feet in the attempt. There was nothing to be done - Miriam couldn't see a thing.
She sat beneath a mushroom and prayed to the Abogenesis. She was cold, wet and hungry. There was nothing left to do but wait...
