She had been driving in her car for five hours... determined to reach the tip of the snow-capped mountain within her time frame.

It was mid January, and there was no plant or living thing in sight. The few distant trees were bundled under layers of snow, waiting for the harsh times of winter to near end. This was a strange place... but one thing made Emiva very much uncomfortable.

It was silent.

Deathly silent.

The snow had stopped falling hours ago, but even when it had been, the world around her seemed like a silent movie... without music of course.

The area was out-of-bounds for radio focus, so she was not even able to listen to a boring book interview, or at least the weather station. Emiva sighed.

"5:42" She said, looking down at her digital watch. 20 more minutes to go and she'd be out of this torture.

But what was awaiting her? Oh, the many rumors she had heard about it, haunted, a killer lurking in possesed rooms, evil spirits...

Nah'.

Pishposh.

Emiva rolled her eyes, blocking out the stupid myths and kept her eyes focus on the blank, white road of nothingness in front of her.

"Maybe...we should've...taken...the elevator." The elderly man was panting on the last flight of stairs. T smiled ruefully, helping him up to the very top floor. "Well, we're here now. I'll take my key. You planned anything for tomorrow?" Simultaneously, she slipped the card key out of his pocket and handed him his own luggage, a mellow song playing in her head. Aeros stopped for a moment and smiled at her. She raised a brow. "What?"

"Isn't that the young man that came your way this summer?" He motioned behind her with his free hand. She halfway turned her head, the outlines of Bale, Squeegie and Loofa catching her eye. "Yeah, guess so. And that's Loofa. Dunno who that is, but...wierd." She was too busy in her own mind to pay much attention to the three men. Her keen eyes went to the window on her right, to see a familiar face in the windshield of an approaching car. "Looks like we've got more company, too!"

He sighed, breath clouding the air as he continued to crunch the short trek through the snow from the parking lot. There were some woods here, making for a bit of "Blair Witch" feel, but in the daytime it was nice, with the sun shining off the snow. He was right in his element, loving the outdoors, even in the winter. Problem is, this isolation wouldn't last, for he was crunching through the snow from the parking lot, and said parking lot was for the hotel at the top of the mountain. Then he would need to interact with people he didn't know, perhaps a big group, too.

Kinsha sighed again, burying his hands deeper into his dark coat.

Why had he agreed to this again?

Oh yea, that's right. He finally found his - older - twin sister. She had gone missing years ago, when they were both just kids. Coincidentally, it had been his uncle and cousins who had found her. He hadn't even known about them until chance-meeting his Uncle Radeon and learning who he was. He had suggested the twins spend time together, so this trip had been planned.

Richter hadn't changed a bit. She was still the hyper girl he'd grown up with back then, getting distracted by anything interesting that caught her eye--wait a second.

He paused.

Where was she anyway?

His blue eyes scanned the area, worry starting to build. When had she slipped away? He swore she had been walking beside when they'd left the parking lot. He was starting to go into "panic mode" when--

"Hey Kinshy!"

He jumped, heart skipping a beat.

Richter just continued talking. "These woods are really cool. You should see the view from the mountain! The snow makes everything look so pretty!"

His heart had finally slowed back to normal. "Uh...ok. Let's just...go sign in our reservations."

"Right." She mock-saluted, skipping ahead, leaving him there to shake his head in wonder.

This would be long trip.

Zerg gasped as she noticed a guy trip off the last few steps of the staircase. She quickly threw her leg off the arm rest of the chair, and in the same moment placed her cup of coffee on a nearby table. She got up and jogged to the staircase, stopping before him and bending down, offering a hand to help him up. "Hey, are you ok?" She asked, letting a few stray strands of silver hair fall in front of her face in the process. She didn't really notice his embarassment... or perhapse she had, but didn't acknowladge it, after all, anyone would be a bit embarassed after a fall.

Squeegie coughed as he tried to regain his breath. A few moments later, he noticed the hand of the coffee-drinking lady reaching out to him. He greatfully took it, and stood up on wobbly legs. "Th-thank you." He shook her hand. "Name's Squeegie."

Squeegie then turned to Tuna. "Thank you as well." He grinned warmly at the two and brushed himself off.
Bale and Loofa took turns shaking his hand. Loofa gave a slight smile, knowing now he wouldn't be the only older man here. Bale made his way torwards the staircase as he heard the cummontion from below. He leaned over the rail and said, "Everthin' alright down there?"
