I tried to play around with photoshop again... =)
Yep, I know that everything is wonky, but its done with mouse and I can´t make straight lines with it to save my life. And, how I wish I could do lines which get thinner to the end. Sigh.

Edit2:
Fixed some things and added the improved deer on the backround.

Edit:
Tried to improve the deer a little, and turned it into a siggy-deer. Hope that the fur looks a bit better now.

I wanted to do something like this kind of contrast, I love using quite limited color-scheme. Still have no idea how to make fur with mouse, meh... but I´m kinda happy with it. ^^;

Wow, I can't for the life of me understand how people can be so skilled with a mouse! O_o
This is a really striking composition and color contrast!! I envy your vision. Smiling
The tree branches look fantastic, as does the pose and the shadows! Just one tip, keep track of your light source when adding shadows and shines! ^^

I bet you could do wonders with a tablet. Go get one!! ^^

I love the contrasts and colours, and I think you've done the fur really well.

I really like this. I love the shine and texture of the fur, and the pose. I don't have tablet and fail at colouring with mouse D: But those shadows are confusing me xD Unless if it's intentional, of course

gurgelin, Thanks! Yeah, it´s quite a pain trying to draw with mouse... I used eraser a lot to shape things better as I don´t have any fancy brushes. Whoa, you´re right about the light source, seems like I messed up atleast one of the tree-shadows... oops. ^^;
I had thought of getting a tablet, but haven´t yet... maybe in the future.

EternalWanderer, Thanks. Yeah, the shadows might seem a bit messy... I didn´t really do very much work on the backround, since I suck at doing them anyway. It was the athmosphere and contrast I was going for, anyway.

Nice! But the shadows are still confusing me :| Look at the third tree counting from the left and then the branch on it's shadow... Same with the 5th from the left :P

EternalWanderer, Agh, I completely forgot about those! Eh, as you can see I just flipped the orginal trees around to make their shadows, oblivious of the branches... Hope it looks now a bit better?
This kind of stupid mistakes are almost embarassing, I should have seen those. ^^;;

Don't worry, happens to everyone Eye I was just pointing that out. Looks better, although with no branches it looks quite emptier, but that's your choice. Much better than anything I can do :p

Heh, yeah, I don´t mind, of course. The mistake was so obvious anyway, somehow I just forgot about it. Funny that this was orginally meant to be something very simple, but after the flat colors, I just had to add more stuff. I´m just no good with "simple". ^^;
I agree that removing the branch´s shadows made it look lot emptier, but I´m probably too lazy to play around with it anymore. By traditional media it would be so much easier to fix such things...
