Unknown. Ghostly.
Smells disarmingly oily and floral, but not rotten.
An anatomical anomaly.
Has the brown eyes of an old soul that are hard to intentionally catch.
Frequently induces a strange effect that makes it hard to remember his visage and actions in passing. Some are more sensitive than others, but he generally manifests in memories as almost dreamlike, causing some to avoid the entity entirely. Depending on your character, you may find it disorienting, malicious, or both.
Eating, drinking, and cleaning seem to be eclectic and suggestive to him, not a requirement. It would be unusual to remember unless a character directed him to do so, anyways.
Doesn't really mind being eaten. Reappears the next day. Nonetheless, like most things, he would prefer you not do that. It's usually considered rude. He's mostly rancid, so he'll definitely think you're gross.

The creature sticks mostly to himself unless someone has expressed a clear interest in his presence--his actions are hard to parse, but almost always empathetic. He knows he's not necessarily great company, but appreciates the brave, curious, intellectual, or foolish acknowledging him, no matter the reason.
Impervious to manipulation. An independence that is cat-like and staunch. Will not be brought to harm others in most situations, and would rather be a meatshield than an instigator.
Can he talk? Some claim he has, others would swear the only thing he has said is that he cannot. The world may never know.
