i just finished watching Watership Down and it was FREAKING GREAT. so i formulated a little story about the beginning of the Endless Forest. no, i dont believe in it, so dont label it as a crazy religion. i just felt like writing it. its kinda stupid and you probably wont like it XD HERE WE GO

Children of the Endless Forest, lend me your ear, and I shall tell you of a story that has been long forgotten. It is true that the origins of the world are yet unknown, but there is one story that has tested the intellect of many a mind.

In the beginning, there was a great god.

This god created the universe: the planets, the stars, the moons. And the god designed each planet to his liking. One planet he decided to put life on. He created trees, plants, waters, the sky. He created every form of life, from the simple animals to Man. But he also created five special creatures, giving each of them his face.

One was the Dog, who had a longer face and tail. Another, the Cat, with large fangs and sharp claws. The Bird, with great beating wings and beautiful feathers. The Rabbit, with powerful legs and great cunning. And the Deer, with great and mighty antlers. These five creatures were given their own territory and intelligence. They soon multiplied, and filled the earth, alongside the other creatures of the land.

The god was happy that his creations were living together in peace. But as the earth filled, the five Great Animals started to quarrel. The Bird bragged about her ability to fly, which angered the other four. The Cat and the Dog started to fight with each other, arguing over who was the better hunter. Even the Deer and the Rabbit, the most peaceful Animals, faught over which could run faster. Soon, the Dog started to chase the other four, the Cat hunted the Rabbit and the Bird, and the Bird hunted the Rabbit.

Even when the god brought them together, they fought. They demanded for the god to destroy the other Animals, and gave enraged arguments over who was the dominant Animal. The god had enough of this. He knew his creations could no longer live together. He soon created new places for the Great Animals, and no place was anywhere near another. Each of the five lived in their own paradise, specially designed to their liking. The Birds were given many high trees; the Rabbits, large fields; and so on.

But surely the god would not leave these places unsupervised. He appointed the very first Great Animal as a god of their land, to keep rule and watch over their people, for they had the most wisdom. And so, through this tale, a possible answer to the Endless Forest's origin is given. And what of the other four, you ask? Well... I'm sure they are living just as happily as we are. We are the children of the Great Deer, and we rule over the lesser creatures. But that does not mean we can step out of our land. For that would bring great danger upon us.

But... If you do happen to see a rabbit with a flat face, do tell me. I would like to meet that rabbit. He would be the evidence behind this tale. But truly, only the Twin Gods know for sure.

Only because they were there.

lol, dumb, right? its not very well thought out, but i thought it would be a cool thing to think about. this really only came to me because i drew a human evolving into a rabbit (kind of inspired by what Anzel drew) and i thought "that would be kind of a cool game XD"... i literally said "XD" LOL no im kidding XD but think about it... what would it be like to be a BUNNY?? anyway, im rambling. hope i didnt waste your time XD
