Chapter 2 ~What Happened Here?~

The whole herd followed the scent of smoke, trailing through the forest. Isis, Emiva, Rutilus, Lacy, Darcy, Quad, Atiq, Ammy, and Squeegie, all came together after one night. They came upon some fallen trees, smoldering and smoking. "What the.." Before Squeegie could finish his sentance, a Huge BOOM. The trees shook as an explosion occured a few miles away. "What was that?!" Said Ammy, who was now hiding behind Quad. he looked down at her and smiled. "I'm not sure, we must go find out." He said, seemingly unscared. "Yes, follow me." said Isis.
They all followed there senses toward were the explosian occured. When they finally found the spot, there was a huge crater like hole. "I wonder what caused this?" Rutilus said nervously. "Looks like a crator fell!" Emiva exlaimed.

"Lets look around for some other deer." Darcy looked around. They all searched the forest, but nothing. After a few more hours of searching, Atiq cam upon a small fawn, covered in ash. "Hello? Are you ok?" said Atiq, nudging the fawn. The fawn slightly moved, then struggled to her feet. "H-hi... where am I?" Said the fawn weakly. "There was an explosian, you seemed to have passed out." Atiq told the fawn. "O... I am Martisol, who are you?" Said Martisol looking up at Atiq. "My name is Atiq, follow me."
The two deer went to find the other group. They found them by the lake, hovering over two helpless Stags. "I found a fawn, she was passed out." Atiq told the herd. Martisol looked up at everyone, she seemed nervous about something. "Hi, we will take care of you." said Isis. Martisol smiled and joined the group.

"These two stags are passed out here too." Said Lacy. "The explosain might have shocked them." Ammy said to Lacy. Suddenly the stags both moved a little, then after a while they stood up and looked around, confused. "Hi... I'm WindHowler, and this is Avime. Who are you?"he said. "We heard an explosian and came to find deer near it." Darcy told the two deer. "Well, I dont recall what happened, but I remember a weird green glow." Avime said looking at all the deer.

Just after he said that, a Stag walked up behind them and said. "What is going on?" Ammy jumped up and screemed, running behind the group. "Haha didnt mean to scare you!" Said the stag playfully. "Hi did you here the explosion too?" Quad asked the Stag. "Yes, But I was on the far side of the forest." he said. "Really? We didnt see any deer there." Isis said to the stag. "What is your name?" Rutilus asked the deer. "I dont really have a name, but most call me 'Jendeer'.
