Real original title.
Anyway, had to make just one more fastpainting to get a peace of mind.
Damn, I'm ashamed of how badly those rocks turned out... :'D -covers-
But otherwise I suppose I like this.
kaitlyn:
Well, good thing I'm very lazy at taking commissions/drawing what I'm supposed to draw. Unless they're willing to pay me like hell. :'D
Geez... -kicks a pile of 'supposed to draw' work aside-
And thank you, sir. 8]
Beeshbiskit: *scratches them*
The world needs more deer animations. 8D
And I AIN'T GUNNA SHUT UP CUZ THEY LOOK LIEK PLASTIC.
More practice for one sleep deprived person here.
But liek i luv u and raped raisins <3
eyestrain:
your paintings are always pleasure to see. Haven't seen any from you for a while D;
Nice to hear and thank you :]
It looks like he's stepped into a battlefield and is looking over at the other side...the whole setting screams my battle isn't over...or something of the sorts. I like this, a lot.
I personally love the rocks. They look so slick. They remind me of slate--I've always had this unexplained love for slate.
Something about this (I'm sure the music I'm listening to is contributing) is just so... I'm, like, speechless tonight with you, I swear.
I love the distinct war feel, one can tell there was once fighting. It still feels bad there, like some of the ghosts are still restless... But gradually, we can see life coming back, the wandering of a deer through the area. This makes me feel hopeful.
kitty8:
Yap, something of an old battlefield feel was what I was trying to create. Old ragged flags and spears.
It's up to the viewer whether they want to interpret the battle still going or or ended. Nice hearing different views : D
And tthank you~
Kao:
YES.... MY SON. -rest hand on shoulder-
UR MOM WAS HOT BACK IN THE DAYS.
Serenai:
I was kinda trying slate rocks, but apparently used too soft brush it turned out not so great. I've done better, I swear. :'D
Ah, you know I'm really happy I've succeeded to wake some feelings. I've been a bit worried lately that my pictures are just... pictures.
I'm doing my best to create certain athmospheres even if I didn't so much work to the detailing itself.
had this music playing in the background at some point, I think it suits this. : D
Thank you for the lovely comment, made me really happy <3
You silly, you said you were going to sleep. You’re probably sleeping now though, so it’s okay.
I adore them nonetheless. I wouldn’t say you’ve drawn them better before—merely different, and perhaps this drawing called for softer slate, despite the fact that you like others your drawn better. Perhaps it needed this, to be what it is meant to be. ... Speculation.
You should never worry about that (though I understand the feeling; I just had an artistic revelation myself). Everything I've eve seen of yours, particularly those with full backgrounds, has such presence and meaning. This... Honestly, I feel more from this than I usually do with any art. It has soul inside of it. Beautiful soul.
That song is... So beautiful. I love it so much. I had no idea Hans Zimmer did the soundtrack to that lovely movie. The song did come inside. I'm glad you were listening to that song... I think it's all perfect. It sounds like the hope I feel.
You're doing very well at the atmosphere, I promise you.
I wish I could stray from my obsessive focus on detail, to make a whole come together. It's a work in progress. c:
I really do love this piece.
It means something to me.
Serenai: I don't know how to sleep, someone teach me. D8<
Naww, in my opinion the rocks would look better if they looked sharper/harder, more rough. But that's only a matter of opinions, of course :'D
And I'm glad to hear, personally to me athmosphere is the most essential thing of the picture so it's something I'm working hard on when it comes to these ones with backgrounds. 8>
Before I used to be rather obsessed with detail myself but then I just strayed a little when starting to work more on backgrounds. And because I'm a lazy bum.
Your comment was really encouraging, thank you.

With your art skills, you would draw better ones any time, sir. ô__o

Such interesting atmosphere and setting.
I don't strive to be the best, but instead I strive to do my best, and always give it my all every time.
