First Few Days...

Mira has finally grown up ! Her first few days as a full grown doe have been very exciting.
First of all she changed her appearance - one of the things she has been longing to do ever since she was a fawn. She loves her new look, but unfortunately fell into the lake yesterday. She is not yet sure if she will stick to one set, or change once in a while.
Here is an account of the past few days... [read more]

28th November '09

Today, Mira woke up and got to her feet. She started running, as always. The wind blew in her face, the earth felt soft beneath her hooves, as always. Yet something felt different. She ran faster, and felt stronger. Of course ! As she peered at her new body, exccitement rose in her. Suddenly, she ran round and round in circles, full of ecstasy. The only downside was her dull brown pelt which reminded her all too much of her childhood who, even just a day away, she saw as foolish. Quickly she rushed to the woods surrounding the pond: where she was most likely to find a new set.

When Mira finally lay down is the soft grass, awaiting sleep, she looked back on her day and thought: 'Wow.'

3rd December '09

Mira woke up this morning and went running. By now, she was used to her new body. While running, she admired her appearance and smiled. The doe was startled as she headed towards the pond - not a deer in sight. She slowly walked around, peering to her sides, trying to spot someone. she even decided to go to the Ruins, a place she disliked. Still no-one. Oh, wait. Mira sees a deer with the same brown pelt she had yesterday, and antlers.

Mira took a few steps towards the stag but suddenly, he started sprinting towards the lake. She chased the stag, trying to catch up so she could apologize for frightening him. He suddenly veered left, which caused Mira to fall. The stag stopped in his tracks, turned around and helped her up. He looked sorry, so when he gestured for her to follow him, she nodded. The pair slowly walked to the lake, and Mira sat in the shallow water to try and remove the dust from her coat. The stag sat opposite her.

They sat for a long time, the cool water bathing them. In the end, the tired doe drifted off.
When she woke up shivering, her friend had gone.

5th December '09

When Miriam woke up on the 5th December, she felt lonely. So, for old time's sake, she ran to the red hills and sat in the long grass. She wondered around, walking on the dusty ground, completely lost in thought.
