.: The day was chilly and wet from a recent downpour, and Flora was emerging from her small ice cave in which, ever since she decided to let her powers flow a bit more freely, had been decorated in beautiful shades of purple and pink hues in the ice as well as some attempts at design and texture. Nevertheless, Flora was growing proud of her home and a little bit less insecure about her power over ice and snow. However, she remained weary most of the time. She feared there might be a moment that she would cause more harm than good just as she did to her papa a moon or so ago...
A smile delicately painted her features as she gazed around the Forest around her. She rarely saw other deer around this area which was always covered in snow and ice on the trees and ground thanks to her. It was her own little winter wonderland. It was freezing cold and even the young snow queen herself got chills. However, the cold never bothered her, anyway.
The young buck was trudging through the snow while flakes gently accumulated on his deep blue fur. Niquetil sighed as he sniffed around, it has been a while since his last bout of ice magic, this time leaving large paterns of icey crystals on his face. Then and there he decided enough and went on a journey to figure out how to reverse the curse his belssing placed upon his body. Eventually he came to a rather thick area and blinked "something is... different about this area" he stopped and gazed to the sky then around, it was rather cold, though to him the even colder sensation of having ice magic slowly freeze your flesh wass more pungant in his mind than the cold weather.
Trudging on through the icewonderland he came near where the young doe was and sniffed "some one lives way out here?" he tought to him self looking around "how the heck could they survive?"

.: Suddenly, Flora was startled by the sound of a voice close by. She paused and frowned, perking her ears to make sure her mind was not just playing tricks on her. Then it came again: a voice. Not only so, however, but she could catch something in the air-- a scent, a sensation! Someone was here. But how? Furrowing her brows, she took a step away from her structure.
"Who's there and how did you find me?" she called out with a voice of authority, as if she indeed ruled a kingdom.
The stag came to a stop and perked and ear up "um...hello? sorry If this is your turf, I was just wondering through" as she looked around tring to pinpoint where she was. "oh it's a doe" he thought "wonder what she is doing out here" as a plop of snow fell off a tree and poofed alover his head. Startled he jumped a bit then quickly shook off and shivered "oh geeze..really tree, really?" stepping out from under it's branches, while icey flacks powdered his fur.

Flora came around the corner as she heard him complaining. She could not help but chuckle with amusement as she finally came into view.
"The trees being unfriendly?" joked the young snow queen. Her purplish eyes were wide with awe while she examined his appearance. She felt awe at his pelt, which made her think of the blue-hued ice that glistened in the evening in her cave.
"What is your name, Sir?" asked she to the other.
The stag looked over to her and smiled softly "ha ha yea they seem to like dumping snow on me" he chuckled then puffed out a steamy breath into the cold air that rose and vanished. "oh and I am Niquetil, Niquetil Raumo, pleasure to meet you". He took a few steps towards her sniffing, and a bit memorized by her beautiful feathers and pink tones to her coat. "What might you be doing so far out her mis?" he tilted his head. About that time another plop of snow fell off the tree onto his bum and he jumped a bit then sighed and chuckled looking back shaking the little pile of him "pardon me"

Flora, again was amused by the stag and found herself huffing with chuckles, causing puffs of frost to escape her slightly parted lips. She took a step back as if to dodge the snow that kept falling onto him.
"My name is Flora," she introduced once her chuckling calmed down.
(oh XD sorry, my screen does weird stuff with coloring XP nuzzles)
"Pleasure to..." stepping out of the way of another plop of snow "meet you Flora" he chuckles the motions up to the tree "I am onto them, Just you see" in a silly tone. Shaking off once more to get the last flakes off his coat "what are you doing out here all by your self by the way? It is not exactly safe you know" he smiled in his inquiry, a little puzzle but intrigued by the appearance of this strange but beautiful doe.

"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
Flora briefly paused and glanced around, smiling a little to herself as she spotted a crow nearby, neatly perched on a branch and dotted slightly with delicate snow flakes on his black feathers.
"Well, this is my home." she finally replied, breaking the silence.
He looked over in the dirrection she was looking "your home?" he blinked looking back at her a little confused "how can you live here all year round, it is always winter?" he raised an eye brow line and stepped closer once more sniffing her, could she be magical he wondered? His eyes full of curiosity now, he wanted to know more about the strange doe of the snow.
—
"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
Flora stepped back slightly when the stag moved to sniff her, though soon gave in and sniffed him a bit as well, rather curiously.
"Well I...kind of made it like this," she said with a sheepish look in her purplish eyes.
The stag laughed "oh so your the one making all the snow stags" he chuckled jokingly and nudged her. Though seeing she was serrious his face grew a little duller and be blinked "o...oh... wow...your serrious" he was not sure what to do "um...how... exactly did you do all" he tilted his head then motioned around "this...?" he though had a bit of hope her magic might be like his, it would give him hope that he would not frezze over by his own magic.

"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
Flora cleared her throat from a brief pause of staring at him with a rather crossed expression and a raised brow. She stepped back, slightly from the stag.
"Well, I..." she blushed with embarrassment. She had not exactly come across such a character before, and by the way things were going, she was feeling a bit unsure of herself, and the stress of it all caused the wind to pick up, slightly around her.
"I just did," she replied, looking over her shoulder.
"oh...I see, can't control it eithr" he chuckled sheepishly "ah well I should have expected, well hey at least it was nice to meet you" he then pirked up a smile before this time and chuck of ice fell on his flank. His eye twitched and he said in a some what stuffy voice (like when you stub your toe) "at least you have ice magic... don't meet many of those... got to love that ice magic" he smiled despite a little bump growing on his rumpus. XD
—
"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
Flora's eye grew wide and she stepped a little closer.
"Oh! Are you alright?" She asked, examining his flank and the bump growing on his rump with a look of uncertainty on her features.
"Uh, you should probably get that checked" She suggested with slow hesitance before stepping back, glancing up towards the trees which held ice and snow atop of them. She held back a chuckle. The young snow queen then perked as she remembered something he had said.
"W-wait wait wait, you said "either?"
He was stopming his front hooves at the time and bitting his lip to hide the pain "oh I'm fine really" trying to act tough though he really was not all so much so. "Um... I have ice magic to, but It is not really like yours, and I kinda die more when I use it" he shruged "easiest way to put it, it's why I am out here, Looking for a cure" she smiled sheepishly.

.: Flora's fur stood on end. Had she heard him correctly? For a moment, the entire world was holding its breath, speechless with shock and confusion.
"Y-you...said ice magic? You have...you have it too?" Asked the young snow queen, nearly unable to speak from disbelief.
He looked at her a little confused "yea.... why is that something wrong?" he blinked "you okay?" tilting his head. Seeing her fur all puffed up he worried he said something wrong so he backed up slightly "I mean I can barely use it, and it kinda kills me a little each time I do so..."
—
"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
.: Flora barely heard him, as excitement began to replace her shock.
"I-I just can't believe it! Are you a Faerie? Are there more of you? Somewhere? Do you know others who can control other elements around?" She asked; her voice fast and excited and her eyes big like that of an astonished fawn. She stepped closer with every word that escaped her grinning lips.
He blinked a few times "uuuuhhhh" stepping back slightly more "what are faeries? and no I don't... that is why I was coming out here... to find a cure?" he tilted his head a little preplexed "you see all this frost" he turned slightly. Pausing a momment he looked at it "everytime I use the magic it gets worse, and I could die if I do it more..."
—
"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
"Oh..." Flora breathed. She turned her eyes to the trees around her. She backed away a bit; her cheeks reddening.
"I am...very sorry. I...guess I misunderstood," The doe sighed and glanced at him with softer eyes, ones showing quite a bit of sympathy. For her, her powers could be a blessing. However, in his case, it sounded like some curse to dread. Looking down, she shuffled a hoof in the snow.
"So...a cure, huh? I am afraid I am not sure I can be of help to you."
He smiled softly and nudged a bit closer seieng her distress "well you could help me in one way, you gave me some hope to know I am not the only one with these powers" lightened up a bit "and I can see some one has mastered them with no side effects, I am sure I can to" he chuckled sheepishly as more snow fell on him "the trees seem to agree"
—
"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
.: Flora smiled for a moment, though her frown soon returned.
"But...I am a Winter Faerie. It is in my blood...what if it is not the same for you? I mean, what if you do die from using it if you try too much? What if I convince you to use your powers and you get hurt?" she asked with worry painting her features.
He shrugged "it's either try with some one who knows some form of similar magic, have a chancem but maybe die, or... wander until I hopefully find something and maybe die" he smiled sheepishly "I think my chances are best iwht you, if you don't mind mis, I understand if you do not want to" he bowed politely.

The snow queen's eye grew wide again.
"You mean...you want m-me to teach you? Like...a guide?" She was astonished and a little nervous. She would have never dreamed of meeting someone with similar power to herself, nor could she imagine helping him with his. She herself was still figuring out how to control hers, properly.
"Well yor obviously not dying so you further head than me" he chuckled and walked closer to her "besides wouldn;t it be nice to have some one around who doesn't mind the cold" looking around "this kingdom of isolation can't be all that great alone can it?" he smiled warmly and stopped his two front hooves in the snow. (woooo forzen XD)

Flora frowned and looked down; her ears drooping with her.

The memory of what happened earlier that year just could not clear from her mind, and she could not let go of the fear it may repeat itself.
His smile slowly faded as his heart beat nearly stopped, he was not sure what scaring this young lady had, but obviously it was deep enough to really change her. Slowing going up he nudged her side "you can't be alone for ever, besides if you hit me with a frost blast it will just be the more of what I already got" he smiled softly "the trees are already having fun contributing them selves any way" he smiled softly

"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
He earned a small smile from Flora and her gentle purplish gaze strayed to his own orbs of sight.
"Thanks. I guess you are right..." her smile slowly faded. She glanced down at the ground where it was covered in snow.
"I am still a little unsure, though...I have a few I am so close to and I cannot help but come close to them but...I still have that fear in me but...they distract me from that fear. I just worry that I will forget...what happened that day, and I will slip and let it go! And then they will get hurt and I-I won't be able to forgive myself!" She closed her eyes tightly and the wind picked up; the cold around her growing sharp and somewhat bitter.
He closed an eye as the icewind ruffled his fur from crown to hoof. Although the young stag did not know this girl, she seemed ot have having issues with the same magic he was, but in a different way "maybe we can work on our fears together?" he proposed as a small ice flower grow in her hair and the frost on his flank slowly crackled and moved an inch further down his leg.

The small blizzard stopped as the young snow queen was startled out of her fearful internal panic. She felt a comforting coolness in her head, suddenly. Looking back, her eyes grew wide.
"Y-your leg!" She exclaimed, turning to him with concern.
"The frost..." Flora murmured, examining him.
"This happens when you use your magic...?" the doe asked.
He nodded and sighed in relief, the few inches of growth was worth calming her down "yea.. the bigger the creation, the more it spreads, also I can't feel it to much after it has spread, just feels dull and cold" he shrugs "was hoping some one could reverse it or something" as he smiled at the flower in her hair now.
—
"We don't inherit the world from out parents, we borrow it from our children..."
-Rusi Vulakoro-
She noticed him smiling and perked, suddenly.
"Er...what are you smiling at?" She attempted to look at her head, though only ended up turning and glancing behind her shoulder.
"Is there...something on my face?" Flora paused and then glanced behind her to an ice-covered tree only to be greeted by her reflection and noticed the ice flower on her head.
"Oh...it's beautiful!" She breathed.
"You did this, didn't you?" Blushing
He blushed softly and nodded "yes, I did not mean to be inapropriate, I just thought it would calm you down before" he laughed sheepishly. "I can remove it for you if you want" then triend to change the subject to spear himself embarisment "I am not so good at making wind and snow like you, I mainly just do crystals and structures well... it kinda just happens, I don't exaclty have practice as you can imagine"

"No! N-no, it is wonderful. I adore it, truly" she said with a soft voice. She smiled sweetly and gently nuzzled his shoulder in a friendly manner.
"What is your name again, Sir?" she asked softly with embarassment. She was never truly good at names.
The young stag smiled "Niquetil mis, and I don't mind at all, never had aquaintences long enough for them to remember my name any way, tis nice to have someone's compony a while". When she nuzzled his should his cheeks gently grew red and he gave a soft nuzzle back "so where abouts do you live up here then? you mind a room mate while we pratice" he laughed. not soon after the tree had it's final word and dropped the last bit of snow on him "these trees don't seem to like me" giggled.

"Niquetil..." Flora murmured as if sampling the stag's name on her lips. She found herself chuckling a little bit.
"What a charming name!" Replied the snowy doe. She looked over her shoulder and nodded.
"Yes, my cave is very much nearby here, Niquitil."
Niquetil smiled "oh how conveninent, your name is quite lovely as well, Pleasure meeting you by the way" standing up a bit proud for making a new friend "so would you like to go for a winter walk or go to your cave? I wont take up to much room I promis" he chuckles "as long as you don't have any trees in there that might dump more snow on me" nuzzling her once more.

It is amazing how things in the heart can change how things seem to the eyes. At one time, many years before, actually, the young snowy doe felt comfort and warmth in this place; this modest thicket where she had her first awakening, met her father, and was raised sheltered and loved. It was a small haven for her at that time. This place brought nothing but smiles.
Alas, good things do not last forever, and Flora felt she should have realized it sooner or later; that she would one day feel woe whenever she opened her eyes to see the twisted fingers of the thicket in which she had spent most of her starving days rolling around inside, as if she had been eaten alive by a monster and could do nothing but wiggle in its belly until digested into nothing.
Flora's eyes wandered around, examining the icy branches that was her corrupted home. She sighed softly to herself; the first sound she felt she could make for the while, and soon let her eyes rest on the brightness that was leaking into the forest structure from the opening. It had been so long since she was outside. Had the world beyond this darkness changed at all? Her strange curiosity was further aroused when the sound of a bird's delightful song reached her ears, which perked in curiosity.
Finally, she decided to act upon it, and shifted onto her knees. Flora winced once she realized how weak and skinny she was becoming, and her legs were so shaky the moment she attempted to stand, she felt as if she had aged backwards into an awkward newborn fawn. Nevertheless, she still had knowledge on such things, and eventually made it onto her weakly twigs that had at one time been a pear of strong yet elegant legs. She limped outside and was bitter-sweetly greeted by the warm sun of afternoon. Its brightness should have felt warm against her thin fur, though Flora could only feel the coldness of the inside of her. Funny, she did not use to feel cold from her own frost, yet many days among her own blanket had left cold scars inside and out. For a brief moment, the young snow queen could do nothing but gaze about her surroundings, making check of everything that had changed, which was not a lot besides the small flowers that were starting to sprout. here and there in the small clearing.
Suddenly, the doe's legs began to move forward. They led her into the Forest; the world she was so familiar in, yet felt so lost as she took her steps carefully to refrain from falling over. She looked upward, somewhat hoping to spot the strange black crow that had been offering her visits every so often. The world did not feel the way it once did, and she found suspicion in every little movement or sound the world had to offer.
Finally, she found herself shaking herself as a new scent filled her nostrils. She turned, realizing she was not alone in the area. Another deer was somewhere close by. But where? Strangely enough, Flora was debating on whether or not anyone was actually there. Possibly, she had lost her sense of the Forest, and her mind was playing tricks on her. Despite all of this, Flora still had the curious itchy feeling that she got whenever something was added to the setting, which she could not shake away.
"Is...s-someone there?" asked the snow queen, shocked by the weak croaking of her own voice, that had seemingly dried out like a dying river.
In addition, it was even more painful to hear her weakened voice than actually speaking for the first time in forever.
Faintly in the distance she heard the words "FLORA!" though form afar it was a whisper, like the wind rolling off the tree tops and down the mountains face. Only to tickle the lips of lakes and valleys below, to which Niquetil had gotten lost in. He had finally retraced his steps back to the place to which he once found his first friend, though had grown hopeless. As he miandered the thick dense aspen groves, suddenly he caught the faint scent of his frozen friend. Wide and with glee he called her name out, running in the direction of it's source.
Bounding and rolling across stumps and old snow, he trampled flowers, broke branches, their fingers tugging at his winter fur, ripping off patches. His mad dash to his only hope, left his fur a mess, full of twigs, and patches missing, looking much older in the spring than most deer this time of year. The still lightly cold air bellowed out his nose like that of a steam engine making haste. It felt odd though, he never had been so excited in his life, even if it was a doe he barely knew, something about her had branded his mind.
Coming close to where the doe was, he had not let up speed, so focused on finding her, he forgot to stop, even though over the thicket she lied like an flower frozen in snow. The salt on his lips begged to speak her name again, his ears wished to know the comfort of her friendly words. What was he to do but run and run till his hooves grew cracked with the weight of his friendship

The heart of the doe skipped a beat at the sound of a voice, and as she lifted her head and ears, Flora realized that the voice was familiar. She took a step forwards, gazing around for the source of the voice.
"Wh-who...who is there?" she asked in a voice that she attempted to be louder than her first call. She weakly bleated; the alertnes distracting her from her sadness, if only for a moment.
The young buck kept running, only more enthralled to now hear her voice "Flora! Flora! It is me I found you!?" he laughed and bounded. Though coming to where she was he hit a log and fell, tumbling over and over before coming to a hault at her feet, his body panting and looking a mess. " I can't believe I found you! I thought I lost you forever!" he got up hardly carrying about his messy fur. All to soon though he noticed her frailty and gasped "f...flora what happened to you?" he got close sniffing "y..you look half dead?" he was shocked at his friends condition.

Flora shamefully gazed down at herself. She should not have been surprised though, as her new frail appearance was quite obvious.
"It is...a long story," she replied to him in a bit of a whispery tone.
*he came around her "here sit sit, I insist" nuzzling her softly "I can find you some berries or something to eat, for now just conserve your energy, alright?" the concern lapping off his tongue seemed a little to intense, though it had been a while since he saw her. He helped her down then looked about, as his nose pullin and proccessed his seurroundings "hmmmm berries...berries" he wondered slightly.

Faintly in the distance she
Bounding and rolling across stumps and old snow, he trampled flowers, broke branches, their fingers tugging at his winter fur, ripping off patches.

The heart of the doe skipped
The heart of the doe skipped a beat at the sound of a voice, and as she lifted her head and ears, Flora realized that the voice was familiar. She took a step forwards, gazing around for the source of the voice.
"Wh-who...who is there?" she asked in a voice that she attempted to be louder than her first call. She weakly bleated; the alertnes distracting her from her sadness, if only for a moment.
The young buck kept running,

Flora shamefully gazed down at herself. She should not have been surprised though, as her new frail appearance was quite obvious.
"It is...a long story," she replied to him in a bit of a whispery tone.
