I woke up from a new stupor that day...It was strange. The air felt heavier than usual, and the pressure on my head was exceedingly huge. Perhaps I had been asleep too long, or I was psychic for the events to come.
I stretched and yawned, blinking about at the world. It was bright again, but the allergic reaction was one day rolled over. I could not imagine that it was that acting up again. Soon I realized it was that all eyes are sensitive to light when first opening to the world after such a long sleep. I had nearly forgotten after always waking up to constant brightness.
Well, I made my way to the lake for I felt up for a pond walk and a fly, and such my short and most horrid journey began. Like the greatest of great deer I flew over the pond, landed, turned around, and then turned about. Now it was time to moonwalk on the lake.
My haunches rose in the air and my tail wiggled as I took a great leap forward, legs landing for a run. Aha! I soon skidded to a halt, the surface of the water spraying at my feet. Like a sparkling magic, I began my moonwalk. Oh, I felt so fancy. But then I saw what horrid secrets the pond keeps.
Fawns. The most vile disgusting creatures ever created in the forest! Fawns. Fawns...FAWNS! It was dancing in place on the water, nearly causing me to loose my less than magical grip on the water. Knowing now the water was tainted with its foul touch I took a great run and leap from my moonwalk and made it to shore.
I was safe...so...foolish and blind! More came. There they were...HUNDREDS! Hundred of fawns...all surrounding me! I lowered my head at them to warn them to back off. Unfortunately I do not have the mightiest of antlers. Yes, I shall tickle them to death, perhaps. It is unfitting a death for them. I do hear they are very soft and crunch well under your hooves...Oh how I wish I could crush them beneath my hooves.
One even switched back into an adult again, then back. So it was true, they were like little bloodsuckers. One nuzzle and they had you turning into their legion!
Four hours they had me trapped! Nothing was stopping them! I was in a horror forest! Finally a few broke rank. They had to further taint the pond. Once their stench is in something, they flock like unholy moths to a flame.
Still, I took the opportunity to run. Oh how I ran! I quickly took my place back at the idol. It smelled raw, like earth. I rubbed against it as I walked around it and took a nice sit beside it. I would gladly take swollen eyes and poppy flowers over foul fawns.
And perhaps it was not a hundred...six, maybe.
Still, it felt like a hundred.
How vile it would be if there had actually been that many...
There will never be enough hooves to put the fawns in their place.
Now it reminds me! No wonder
the way you write! To me, you almost seem to
write like the man or woman( I tink it was a man)
who made Alice and Wonderland!
I enjoyed that book so much it earned a rightfull
place on my book shelf! And I'm sure if you wrote a book
it would earn a spot as well!
*anzel giggles*
Want to know a secret? I
I always hear such good things about it (I also hear it was insanely weird, too)
If I ever write a book, you can prod me all day long because I have about 10 minutes of writing will, and it all goes to Dragon.
Same here, I can only write
I didn't care much for the book, honestly...possibly because Lewis Carroll kind-of creeps me out :/ Ah well. I have the book right next to me.
Your writing reminds me more of Kurt Vonnegut or Jhonen Vasquez...I dunno. I haven't read enough books.
I should go find a book to read. Now. Where will I find one. Hmm.
*looks around room*
Oh yes. There are a thousand books in here. Hmm. Maybe I'll look. (not overestimating ;P) XD;
Now you are in authors I
My all time favorite book is The Count of Monte Cristo. Amazing! Now I'd kill to reread that. It's so complex, you miss stuff. :3 I will say I like reading stuff from Redwall, just because it is fun and talking animals are awesome.
I should get a summer reader...hmm..I should read the Narnia series...or buy it.
I've heard of
I still push myself though...
My favorite animal series is
The Silverwing sereis
The Firebringer(not the deer one...the unicorn one
haven't read the deer one yet)
And last but not least the wonderful book Watership Down
and Plague Dogs!

Yes Alice and Wonderland is weird...But through the looking
glass is weirder...That's when instead of cards she's on a chess board with
Kings and Queens..That book confuses me but I read it....And I enjoyed it.
My sister was kinda funny and harsh in judging it and said
the guy was probably drunk when writing it...Who knows?
He wrote it for a little
Anyways...my favorite animal books are:
Tailchaser's Song
- This book is the life of a cat named Fritti Tailchaser. It's by Tad Williams, and I loved this book <3
White Fang
- By Jack London, about a wolf
Bambi
- By Felix Salten...I loved this book <333 I've read it three times now.
I have the book Bambi
it's like the kiddy version but it sumerizes
the whole story...
I've read white fang before..and it's not one
of my very favorites of Jack london..
I like the Call of the Wild! Both books are very good
though!
I didn't like Call of the
And Bambi...was such a dark story o.o;
(i have some pages of it posted in a topic in the Life board)
Yeah I guess the ending for
of the wild is kinda original....But then
I don't even know?
Must read BAMBI!!!!
I don't even think anyone
I probably would of read
when you have the book but the sumerized, kiddy,
almost short version....
But the book I have of Bambi has real nice pictures
in it... It almost looks like the way 21 draws...
I've started White Fang 100
I thought Call of the Wild was OK. It was good, but I've discovered better.
I now want to read Bambi.
I actually did read the pages you posted. I lurk on the boards now and then.
I did read Into the Land of the Unicorns when I was little. I never ready the 2nd book. I had it checked out and ready to read, I was just trying to find time to settle down and read it. Mom had to go and read it to then spoil it for me. So I never touched it, let alone want to read it ever again. I <3 Bruce Coville. :3
On a non book note, has anyone seen Fushigi Yuugi? *melts*
I don't like the first
Haven't seen that :/
Ever seen Wolf's Rain? (the most awesomest pwnsome anime series of all...LAME MANGA.)
All of Fushigi Yuugi's
That series is a roller coaster of emotions. O.o

Hey, I love that series. I want to find the one that comes before it. I hear it's amazing. I just cannot find it. I will say the anime is amazing (just not the English version. The voice acting is gag worthy)
I had to watch the English
I'll probably rewatch it in Japanese one day..
Are you talking about Genbu Kaiden? I only have the first four myself. I don't think they've released volume five yet.

It actually gets better,
Yes! I want to get them and read them. T-T So cool.
okay... in correspondance to
@Dragon's writing: very nice! i think Dragon and Vessel would get along quite nicely due to their common disgust in fawns XD
@the books topic: hey i liked Alice in Wonderland (the uhh... the movie XD) i used to have that book, but i dont know where it went O_o and Redwall.... meh. i read one of the books and thought it was okay. i still have yet to read Watership Down!
@the anime topic: yeah i saw Wolf's Rain when it was on Adult Swim. i honestly didnt think it was that great, but i still watched it. kind of a neutral feeling towards it (just like my feelings towards Eureka 7, Code Geass, Samurai Champloo, ummm... Paranoia Agent?) i dunno, i think im just listing all the anime i know XDDD
Well, I'm fine with whatever
People who have seen only the first few episodes and say 'meh'...grr <<;
i have indeed seen all the
I got very angry when they
I think what ruined it was the fact it made little if no sense. Why did wolves survive when it seems like nothing else did? Random walrus ftw. xD The last episode was extremely bloody. The ending was good and bad. It wasn't what I expected, which was great.
Samurai Champloo was fun. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It never took itself seriously, and frankly a lot of animes made that point stupid.
As I said, I read Redwall cause it's cute. xD I never read them in order. Either way, I just do it for fun. I've read all the good books, and I like something new.

Meanwhile...
Lulz, Dragon and Vessel could kill fawns one by one...at least in their minds. I have a terribly unique pictogram. You cannot miss me when I am on. xD
Wolves survived by
they make themselves appear as humans, though they aren't. From what I've been able to determine, they can choose to disguise themselves, but it can be seen through if a person knows, or if the wolf is overcome with emotion.
As Toboe was when he accidentally killed her bird...he couldn't help it. Kiba made it clear that he didn't care for appearing human, thinking that Hige lost his pride by disguising himself as human.
If you're actually curious about how the series flowed from beginning to end, I could explain it...but I won't spoil it here x3
Oh, and the Walrus...I think that was near the end of the series. Poor Toboe...
I've seen it over too many times XD;
I can tell. But why just the
But why just the wolves? Why could they only disguise themselves? (BTW, I knew about the disguise. I do have it on DVD. Horribly translated, but I have it)
I just never found it very good or interesting. It made me a bit peeved I paid money for it. I spent my money better on Fushigi Yuugi. *bliss* I loved that anime. So sweet and innocent.
I'll just shut up about the
No, it's fine. I just think
I just think about some loopholes that really plague me and make it frustrating to watch. I liked it the first time I watched it (though trying to read bad Chinese translations was...yech.)
It wasn't my cup of tea the second time through. It was like FMA. It was a one time thing.
