This is awesome. I love Horror films and games. The best ones are those that know how to set the mood.
That face just draws you in and gives you chills. The pose of the body adds to the creepy feel.
That eyeball in the foreground just looks amazing. I love how it looks, seems almost real to me. Do you mind if I asked you how you made it look the way you did?
Very interesting what you did with the antlers. Is there a specific reason you did it that way, symbolism I'm missing? Makes the sky look like it's about to shatter. XD
The whole thing together just seems perfect to me.
@Spider: lol I'd be lying if I said that I didn't draw inspiration from the game xD The rolling heads are so creepy!
@Gustiro: I'm happy that it evokes so much emotion in you
I don't mind at all: The foreground eyeball was done like the others (lineart+blocking+shading+highlights) and then blurred with the PS filter. (The floor/blood sea right around it is also slightly blurred to connect it visually.)
//The antlers: The first sketch had eyeballs hanging on them, as though it was storing them as a lunchpack, but when I got to the lineart it looked just too crowded. That the antler lines themselves stayed, even without having a practical use, is just a composition choice; If the lower half is connected through eye-balls and waves, the upper half shouldn't be completely empty. (At least that's what I thought.)
Amazing. The atmosphere in
Though that face frighten me a little, honestly. Sorry :'D
Totally wicked. I'd love to
I'd love to see more of your style.
