The Endless Forest on Windows 11?

Are any of you playing The Endless Forest on Windows 11?
Did you run into any issues?

The Endless Forest will be shown in a big exhibition in New York but the tech team of the organization gets a "Runtime Error!" when they connect to the network. Does anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

It's always ran fine on

It's always ran fine on windows 11 for me. Not sure how to resolve the issue for others though.

I have two windows 11

I have two windows 11 computers that run the old TEF well. On one of the computers there were some initial hiccups at first (I believe it was that "Runtime Error!" but I'm not certain because it's been a long time), and I have no idea why they stopped happening after a few sessions. On the other computer, I had to turn on some sort of setting I don't recall the name of at the moment that is supposed to allow windows 11 to run much much older games. That was the only issue on this computer and TEF has run just fine ever since. I may get dumped from the network or the window may crash after running for many hours, but that's nothing unique to windows 11.

It's a total mystery to me why the game just won't work for others with windows 11.

Not a very practical solution, but I can honestly really only suggest trying different computers until you find one that will run it smoothly.

the way i got it to work on

the way i got it to work on my windows 11 was to right-click the application, go into the "compatibility" tab of properties, and check it off to "compatibility mode" with windows 7. since then it's ran pretty much without any issue!
