The dreaded starts! I'll see what I can do, but I'm so busy on week days. Oooh, just reminded me. I have a volleyball game today, so it's going to be tomorrow most likely. Sorry ^^
"You puzzle me," the gray stag stated as he settled down in front of the doe, "What's going on in that head of yours?" You seem so frightened of something. It wasn't his most perfect greeting in the world, but he wanted to know. It bothered him from the second he noticed her and every other meeting after it. Did he scare her to death? Or was it something only she could see? Something messed up in her mind.
I searched his eyes, the doorways to the soul. "That's a interesting word to use. Puzzle..." I savored the word as it rolled off my tongue. A smile flashed across my features as I thought about how to answer him. Might as well keep it short and sweet. "I see a different forest then you do. It's quite terrifying." It was the truth. Absolutely terrifying. "It's not you. Though you do look different then the other deer that I've met..." I realized how that might offend him and quickly tried to fix it. "I mean...You look ike you've seen things past this forest. You don't look scary like some of the other deer...." I replied quickly, trying to explain my words. Most of the deer would flash into horrible creatures, but he never did...I need to know why.
[If you want me to go to third person then its no trouble at all!]
He merely nodded at her words, either dismissing her attempt to correct herself entirely or simply agreeing because he'd rather not focus on how different he was from everyone else. The fact that she saw the forest differently caught his attention.
"When you say a different forest, what do you mean by that?" he offered a little half smile as he tipped his head. It was an interesting thought. She could either genuinely see a different world, like with color blindness, or it was a mental thing.
I thought about my answer longer then before, determined not to screw up. I titled my head in thought before the words drove down my tongue. "Well..."I paused, struggling to find a easy way to explain it. "It's like I'm mentally in a scary parallell dimesion, but I'm stuck physically in this one." I had never thought it like that myself, and I instantly wondered if the fear inside my head is just another mental thing. Was I insane?
"Interesting..."Zash trailed off in thought, "Where does the scary start then? What's the defining line?" he thought that he would have been the scary one, considering what he looked like. But since Eira had already stopped that thought, he focused on this parallel world she mentioned. It helped him understand why she seemed so traumatized all the time. By already talking to her, he could understand. It was like when he went into one of his episodes. Reality gets altered or is completely nonexistent.
I thought about his words once again. I had never thought it as interesting. His questions were also answering some of mine. Questions I had never bothered to think about. I struggled to answer his question. "Well...There isn't really a set defining line. Each time I get scared, it doesn't fade away like normal....It just adds on to the other fear, so the force that makes me scared has to up its game each time..." I finished, choosing my words carefully. It was a tricky thing to explain, and no one had ever wanted to....Understand me. Usually everyone just asked and that was that. Perhaps he could help me..."Is their some other world that can fix this?" I blurted out. I had always dreamed to get away from this place....Too see if I could see normally in other worlds.
Zash was about to comment on her words, his mouth opening only to close again at her question, a frown crossing the planes of his face. He didn't know anything about anything like that. Not in the least. But he could at least...guess, couldn't he?
"Um....I don't know how to fix something like that," he admitted after a few moments, "There are places outside of the Forest, I can tell you that much, but if they'll help you or make things worse I don't know," the frown turned sympathetic as he shrugged.
I mused over his words. It was worth a shot if I ever got a chance to visit another world. I nodded slowly. "If I ever got a chance to do it, I would...I think anythings better then turning into some....some monster." I replied, my eyes gazing at the claw potruding from my hoof. "I would do anything to stop it." I sighed, a frown appearing on my lips.
His gaze traveled to the claw, uncertain what sort of game he was getting himself into. If this was really just a mental belief that she was turning into a monster...or...what if it was the truth? Then what could he do?
"I could take you outside of the forest sometime," he stated finally, exhaling a breath as he brought his gaze back up to her, "I don't know what it'd do...really...but if that's what you want, I know ways out."
I was worried he would run away. That usually happens. As I listened to his words, expecting the worst, a look of pure excitement spread across my features. "Really?!" I said, looking like a kid offered candy. I had never imagined someone would actually take me. "You don't have to, really." I said carefully, unable to erase my smile.
"It's no problem, really," he couldn't help but smile a little at her response and quick cover up. She wanted to get out of there to see, then so be it. "As long as you don't go running off the second we get there..." he wasn't sure what made him say that, but maybe it was because he didn't know her well enough yet. Maybe he was worried that whatever this monster inside her was, he was going to have a hand at unleashing it.
I managed to twist my beaming smile into a look of shock. "Me? Runaway? Never!" I replied, playing the part. I began to imagine what it looked like. I had never felt so....Normal? "Which one are we going to?!" I managed to say past my smile, practiclly jumping up and down.
The gray slowly got to his hooves, "Err....which...one? I'm not sure." he trailed off as he shifted around, settling to blink at her, "Which ones do you know of?" He wondered if she knew of different places than he did. He didn't think that he knew of...everywhere. Only what places he caught when he wandered in the right spot.
