I've got plenty of pictures and work I should finish but I wanted to do something as a practice first, I felt like I needed it.
It's not perfect but I like it. Though those clouds looked better when I worked on them, after adjusting the picture and adding textures they turned into jelly... blargh.

I love grayscale, but in your colored version, you kept the aspects of the grayscale that were powerful by doing only subtle colors. If your colored piece had been more blinding/saturated, I would've had a harder time deciding.
