Ducky's Day 3.

D U C K Y - September 16th 2009.
Ducky awoke with a familiar smell in the air, mm, flowers. This was very nice, flowers are his favorite things. He went to the pond to go get a drink of water. Then he spotted her, that deer, the only one he trusts. The magnificently beautiful deer. The deer that doesn't judge him, the deer that protected him from HER friends, the deer that he trusts most. He has to hold on to her no matter what. He can't be lonely ever again. He has to stand up for her now. He can't cower away. No he must stand up to the ones she don't like.

It seemed like she ran to the big rocks to tell him a story it seems like the boney stag with the same mask as him and the big antlers has done something terribly wrong to her. This infuriates him. Blood boils under his skin. He knows he can't win the fight but he has to try right? He has to protect her no matter the circumstances. He must be brave. Being brave is a hard trait to acquire when being scared is so much easier. Why can't he get over himself, he thought. Be brave Ducky, Be brave. And now he sits with the doe he likes most. On top of the rock that brings back bad memories to her. She's coughing and limping? "What happened?" He asked
and points to her leg. This all greatly concerns him. He didn't to something right, he didn't do his job to protect her. He is disappointed in himself.

(might be adding more later, btw this is not my best writing I'm horribly tired && sorry for it being short.)

"By hurting my friend, he hurt me. He hunted him, did so many unforgivable things to him. The great-antlered was dead once. I...saw him, upon that rock, lifeless. I thought it was over. Yet he comes back." She coughs hard for a few minutes. Her voice comes back scratchy. "I wish I wasn't afraid of him. I'd stand up to him. But those antlers...
"I'm only limping because of other fights. No...you were brave. I should be protecting you...but you can't get yourself hurt over me...
Thank you...so much. I owe so much to you and so many other deer..."
