The Dream Watcher - Part 2

inspired a little by DragonEyes writing (hope you dont mind Dragon) ^^

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To those who read this, I'm quite honestly surprised. I would never have guessed that anyone would be interested in my frequent thoughts. If you choose to keep reading, I will say that this will continue until I go out into the open. Until then, enjoy my writings.

I remember last night, I had taken a stroll in the Dream Realm. I looked upon the blue-shaded forest with a new eye. For as long as I remember, I had only wanted to see what was happening in the other deers' minds. I had never actually strived to gaze that the blue beauty of this world. The many midnight shades of color bathing everything in sight. It was truly amazing.

But what amazed me the most that night, is something I have rarely ever seen. I had come upon a deer with something fantastic running through his head. I had sat down next to him, and put my eyes to the view above his head. What I saw was a mixture of abstract and divine horror. I cannot describe it with imagery, it was simple beauty. What wonders the power of imagination can unlock! What marvelous things a simple creature could come up with, with only the slightest amount of energy!

But sight wasn't all, oh no. In that dream, I heard many sounds and voices that I knew would be once in a lifetime. A wonderful chorus, singing a soft yet dramatic song. Of such oddities was the melody comprised, but it seemed to work together. Every voice was singing something different, but when put together, made something of pure perfection. This sacred aria, of which I wish I remember the tune, almost brought me to tears.

I almost pulled away from this madness! Such sights, such sounds! A marvel of the mind, and only witnessed once. It was almost too much for me, but soon the deer awoke, breaking the dream and disappearing from the Dream Realm. I gazed upon the spot where the deer once lay. Such an amazing mind, but who was it? I never caught their pictogram, and their appearance was very common.

Woe to you! To the blind! To the deaf! I feel such sorrow for you, to miss such wonderful senses! How many times do I count myself lucky, to be mute of all things? The only thing I miss out on is the gift of graceful linguistics. And even then, I can write it down. You cannot imagine what you are missing. I am not trying to put you down, but I pity you greatly. You do not completely miss out. To be blind, your hearing heightens. To be deaf, your vision heightens.

But to be mute, nothing heightens! You must count yourself lucky as well, to have better hearing or vision is something special. I pity you, but at the same time, I envy you. For good reasons.

To those who read this, please be wary. If you happen to have a strange dream, keep it in your memory! If you happen by these dreams, I might have been with you. If you believe that you are alone, and you sleep all by your lonesome, you may be wrong. The ones who are alone, they are the ones who have the beautiful dreams. Count yourself lucky, you loners. You are the ones granted with a more sophisticated mind.

Are you so jealous of me? I am jealous of you as well. Count yourselves as lucky, you all have something to brag about. As well as something to suffer about. Hear me, oh noble reader, never think that there are deer better than you. Because I'm positive you have something that they can't do.

I apologize once more for my bathering rants. But it almost feels good to write this down. I hope that whoever reads this can come up to me and treat me like a fellow deer when I finally make contact with the outside world.

For now, I stay in the shadows.

Best expectations,
Vessel

It surprises me this is so

It surprises me this is so different from your other story. Mainly because you captured Vessel's character so well, you can really see a difference between him and other characters.
