A story I am doing of Shika and her sister. (They will be human)

The italics is a dream or past. If the title is not obvious, this is a dream Shika is having when she was little, she is now realizing her past. The dream is taking place about 10 years ago or so.

My writings suck, so yeah only doing a little amount of these stories, heh. This is only chapter 1.

The night was silent and dark. There was not a sound to be heard from the house in a small town. It was cold. The trees filled with orange and crimson before the leaves started to fall. Inside the house there was an average teen girl in one of the bedrooms, tossing around in her sleep. The girl's name was Shika. It seems something was bothering Shika while she slept. A dream? A Nightmare? It was all happening too fast, for the girl must know something is wrong, that something is... different.., that something was coming...

Shika was happily eating her cookie and watching the television before it was bedtime. There was nothing else Shika would do, she was an obedient child, always listening to her mother and father. As the clock struck 8 o' clock Shika thought it was about time to go to bed. As she turned off the TV and finished her snack, she got to her feet and walked down the hallway.

As Shika was halfway down the hallway, she heard a horrible scream and a gunshot and another ear-tearing scream. Down the hallway was her parent's room. Under the door was a crimson liquid that started to leak from the other side of the door.

Shika's eyes were wide, she slowly walked closer. Stepping on the crimson with her bare feet before it sunk into the carpet. She finally got to the door. Shika gulped as she wrapped her fingers around the handle. As she opened the door she could see her parents on the floor, lying there motionless. She slowly turned her head to the right side of the room, only to see a dark figure in the shadows...

Shika opened her eyes wide and breathed rapidly, she placed her hand onto her chest as she felt her heart race. She got off the bed, her knees wobbling and her hands shaking. What happened? Shika shook her head and looked out the window. Shika placed her hand onto her forehead, "Augh......I think I am growing a fever.. I need some water.."

Shika slowly walked out of her room and into the kitchen, switching on the lights as she went in each room. She grabbed a glass cup from the cabinet, and without looking, she failed to notice the shadowy figure in the corner in the room. As Shika was about to get her water she finally took notice of the dark figure, hidden in the shadows of the kitchen, way back in the corner. It seemed to grin at her.

Shika gasped and her hands began to shake again. She lost grasp of the cup and it slipped out of her hand, dropping onto the floor and shattering into peices....
