Why. Why can't I do layers? Im pretty much a noob with all the GIMP tools...and I can't use layers. OTHERWISE I would have made a backround, which I tried with a failed attempt.
It all looks suckish without a backround.

Ah, anyways. Heres another little doodle I did earlier of a doe.

I have Gimp too, I can't

I have Gimp too, I can't seem to figure out backgrounds either, I just use the fuzzy paint brush and color in most of the space around it and give it a little design, like here *CLICK* http://endlessforest.org/community/unicorn-fawn *CLICK*

BTW I like how you did the outline of the deer 8D and it's eyes
