February 13, 2010 - 12:01am — Revtheyr
Revtheyr wandered the Forest, alone save the music in his head. His eyes were half-lidded, and he was completing the first couple steps of the next chorus of a song, when he literally ran into Sithrim. Rev had not met the 'bad boy' blonde as of yet, but judging by the jovial nature in which the man took being bumped into, it appeared that the dancer had nothing to fear. As Rev stood there, listening to the notes that played, he noticed the blonde starting to dance on his own accord. Without ado, Rev fell into step with him, bobbing his head in time to the music that only he could hear, and wondering if, perhaps, that was not quite true.
"Seem jumpy today, Rev." Sithrim said, shocking the younger male into silence.
The older male melted easily into human form, matching Rev without a care in the world as to what the boy looked like. Deer or human, it didn't matter. Rev beamed as the change occurred, making a deep and respectful bow in his direction.
"I wasn't aware that so many people knew my name..." he responded, timidly. "I simply feel the music in my veins this evening... I thought you might... care to join me?"
Sithrim threw back his head, and laughed loudly, cheerfully. "News travels." he said, by way of explanation of his knowledge.
In response to the bow and invitation, he bowed back, gentlemanly, arm crossed over his midsection, and his eyes lowered. As he raised them, the twinkle there reassured Rev that this request to dance was not being mocked. Both males broke into a smile.
The music in Rev's head began again, as did the dance. It started off slow, almost elegant. Sithrim was a wonderful dancer, and matched the other step for step, even pivoting in the same motion. Rev wasn't sure enough of his own footing to add jumps to the routine, but Sithrim did, the blonde's leaps being just as graceful and powerful as Rev's... if not a little less so on the landings. He never once lost his footing too terribly, however - and even when he did stumble, it was recovered so quickly that he might as well never stumbled at all.
There was a distinct difference in how the two danced. Revtheyr treated the dance as a lover, gently weaving in and out of the motions, spinning cautiously, and carefully maintaining a constant speed and finesse that was much more suited to older, more exotic dancing.
Sithrim treated the dance like a party. Though he matched Rev's movements, his own were jerky, with their own grace. His turns were quicker, his feet pounded the ground instead of caressing it, and his entire body was awash with energy, life, and movement.
Rev's body was a river when he danced. Sithrim's was a jazz beat, with a hint of primal lust, and potent virility that was both sensual and fast-paced. A hard sort of dance that seemed to fit him perfectly.
When the music ended - at about the same time for both of them, Rev stopped, panting and trying to catch his breath. Sithrim wasn't at all winded, and let Revtheyr use his shoulder to lean on, as the younger male's labored breathing caused a pang of worry.
"Yo... You okay, Rev?" he asked, eying the humanform stag. "Rest for a bit, see how you feel."
He pulled the younger one down to the ground, seating himself with Rev leaning against him, against his chest, one strong arm around him for support. He briefly worried about what Maia might think if she saw him like that, but shrugged it off. She'd probably just think he was being concerned. Which he was.
After a few moments, Rev's breathing took a turn for the better, and he stopped trying to inhale the world with each breath. He coughed for a moment, then looked up at Sithrim. He smiled.
"You're.... a good... dancer..." he said, giving the man a hug. The blonde laughed.
"So are you." he said, ruffling the boy's hair. "But you need to take an easy."
Rev yawned, and closed his eyes. "Can I take a nap?" he asked, giving another smile.
Sithrim nodded. "Yeah. Go ahead and sleep. I'm here."
"Ren'll get me..." Rev whimpered, looking fearfully around.
The blonde gritted his teeth, eyes hardening, and shook his head. "No, he won't. I won't let him. You rest."
Taking that as enough of an answer, Rev drifted off, feeling safe and sound in Sithrim's care, and knowing that it had been fairly stupid to push himself that far in the first place. But before he completely drifted off, he came to a conclusion that had been nagging his brain since he SAW the man.
... Sithrim is HOT.
And if Sithrim could hear that, he probably would have chuckled.
